1. Dropped some AP's on the valver over the weekend in place of the cheapo coilovers that were fitted. Noticed when fitting that the new top mounts were slightly different shaped to ones I removed - not sure why but all fitted ok. Initial testing confirmed a much better ride over bumps, seemed firm but not as firm as the ones removed. This morning was my first "test" on a country road and I must say they seemed a lot better than before, although I noticed a bit of understeer (possibly because it was damp or maybe because the front needs dropping 20mm to sit where it was). Tonight will see me test them again on the rippled corner that drove me to get better shocks. The cheapo's removed need a good clean and have badly rusted springs and whilst they could clean/paint up I can't be bothered so will offer them FOC to anyone who wants to collect them.
2. Welcome. Have a look in the for sale section on here, some stunning cars to be had depending on budget.
3. Safety catch would have no chance if they were blasting out Madonna's Rain :)
4. Absolute dumb*ss if they think that'll hold the bonnet down.
5. It's can be done with some quality tie-downs
6. Already got the luxury of heated leather, I'll bet not many valver have though.
7. Commute run not too much of an issue - 12 miles with 4 of it being traffic and 8 being moors b roads. Managed 36MPG today.
8. I current daily drive 2.0 has reasonable performance and gives a good average MPG despite it's sensible mods. It's also been pretty reliable (touches wood) over the miles I've put on it, but also should be with lots of preventative maintenance parts being fitted. Recently I've been tempted by a couple of seemingly very nice VR6's and wonder if the VR's have better or worse reliability than the valver. What sort of MPG can I expect from a VR6 used as a daily? Any other increase in running costs? I keep telling myself better the devil you know (and love) but then think VR6 soundtrack. Suppose I should test the water to see if anyone wants a valver as its sale would be needed to consider a VR. Stuart.
9. Once stripped a washer pump that was doing the same as yours and found the impeller had fallen off the motor shaft so it didn't pump. My last car didn't have an electric pump, it was a manual button to pump on the dash.
10. Have you put fluid in? :bonk: Seriously, I'd pull a pipes off as close as I could get to the pump, then press to see if you get any water or if the pumps at fault.
11. Not sure if I could use the word sensible for any corrado.
12. Get a valver for cheap(er) insurance and higher mpg.
13. New shocks need to bed in, it looks like its on stilts

15. Alternator and power steering both have belts - check for slack, if none continental them both for piece of mind.
16. Welcome to the forum, get some pictures posted. :)
17. Like fendervg said, what is it???? I once had issues with my 2.0 16v alternator belt which all stopped when I fitted a continental belt in place of the new dayco I'd previously fitted.
18. I paid for a meal by card years ago and didn't check the amount correctly. Imagine my surprise when I later realised I'd paid about 30p for a £30 meal.
19. Someone suggests about 10 bhp but I doubt that. Mine was already decatted when I bought it so I can't give a before/after verdict. Best bang for buck mod I've done was the KR cams with the bargain ebay chip in 2nd place. 50mm intakes let the old girl breath but no so cheap to buy.
