  1. Doesn't matter what you do with the exhaust at the

Having said that, I've seen small Holsets on train engines that have small outlets which expand into at least a 4" diameter system.

Keep in mind Holsets are cheap diesel engine turbos built for mega miles, so they're tough, but may not give the spool characteristics you're looking for.

  2. Yeah why not? Dishonest, yes. Nice fresh glass with a 100% working heater element, yes. Win win :)

My Corrado's rear screen had micro scratching on it from years of rear wiper scrubbing it. It was always visible in certain lights and irritated me a bit!

  3. The B12 kit really does sound like the best all round package for the Corrado but my only wish with it, was that it lowered the car a fraction more!

Looks spot on to me! I'm going to have to be a roll center bore again and say Bilstein know what they're doing :)

  4. If you get a few minutes, check out the modifications that Matt Farah has done (runs The Smoking Tyre, puts videos on YouTube) with their project Fiesta ST. He's getting ridiculous power out of their car using all standard internals, turbo, etc..

That is seriously impressive! UK cars should make similar numbers on V-Power as it's only 1 octane down. I can see a lot of RS Turbo owners retrofitting that engine :)

  5. I thought the way you went about it was a bit odd to begin with, but I admire your staying power and you've done well to get it working as well as you have.

Going 24V management isn't quitting, it will just make your life a bit easier and then you can channel your creativity into other areas and not worry about cam sensors etc!

I know, I cannot wait. Think of the weird and wonderful things we will be able to do in the future on the cars. I could design my own wheels and change them every week, lol.

I think Koenigsegg 3D printed an entire turbo as one part! So the possibilities are endless!

  6. Excuses excuses , is it the big nose your ashamed of why you never seem to be at any gatherings ?? Dont worry its ok iv got a massive honker aswell it doesent matter hahaha

Haha, OK I will try and make it with a dying clutch. Not risking shredding what's left of it on the dyno though, and being stranded there :D

It's honestly superb. One of the best cars I've ever owned. The ride is HARD no doubt about it, but the trade off is that on twisty roads it's just so sharp :) And performance wise, I think it would fairly easily show a VR6 a clean pair of heels. Crazy really for a 'warm hatch' aimed at a younger market than myself! Keep thinking about the MP215 upgrade which is a factory approved remap to give another 35BHP and extra slug of torque..

Nice one, glad you like it. I can totally see why you like it but for me the ride is defo too hard! Get it mapped mate. If mine's anything to go by, there'll be more torque and power everywhere, not just over a particular rev band! If it's factory approved, even better!

  7. Id rather have the over sized Pistons to match ther32 heads combustion chamber

Still not got rid of my fault still if the new Bosch cam sensor don't fix it tomorrow I'm throwing in the towel

Can't do that. Too little meat in the 2.8 block for 84mm pistons, especially with boost. The R32 block is a new casting.

Throwing the whole towel in, or just half of it and going 24V management?

  8. On the AUE the problem is the cover for the short runner plenum. They've been known to blow apart with boost. The R32's intake is a lot stronger. Can take a bar of boost OK.

You can just use a 3.2 crank with your 2.8 block and R32 head to get a 3.0, but you'd need custom pistons to get the deck height right. R32 crank has 5mm more throw. You might be better off just using the R32 head on your 2.8, but IIRC, the head bolts are different lengths and diameters between AUE and 3.2, so again, you might need custom bolts.

I just remember having both engines to hand and came to the conclusion just using the whole 3.2 engine was easier!
