  4. was at work (in kitchen at a pub) and someone working on bar says, "neil, someone is talking about your car on the bar", so i goes out and gets talking to him, telling me how much he loves them and do i want to sell it, took me 5 times to say no because he would let me go back to work!
  5. after 3 hours of work today i got to this.. managaed to keep my amp for 4 speakers, got rid of everything else and tidied some of the wires up aswell.
  6. spent 3 hours doing this... need to get some turps on the sticky stuff in wheel well, little spraying of white paint and then ready for strut brace!

  10. cheers guys, well ive already spent £170 on brake discs, pads, and few other bits for a good service. Im buying all the parts then giving my car to a local garage to change everything over, let them have it for couple of weeks, im kind of accounting £100-150 for just the laybour.. I have a full Weitec coilover kit with new top mounts anyway i fitted 6 months ago. I am thinking of new wishbones, tie rods, ball joints. then get it lazer lined up so its all running straight. By the sounds of it i just cant afford the rear beam bushes to be done. cheers guys, P.S Dave, i might contact you if i have any free time off work.
  11. has anyone noticed a great acceleration difference with nothing in the back?
  12. mine cost me £40 from scrappers. Whole mechanism and everything!
  13. i did it by myself, used my head aswell to hold the sunroof up. took about half about hour to get it out and new one in. when you put the sunroof in you can slide it back onto the little tabs that you bolt it onto and then use your hand (or knee as i used to get two bolts in at the front) then that will hold it up for u to put the other 8 bolts in.
  14. i went to a scrappy, took the sunrood and mechanism out, fitted it to mine, piece of p!ss. few pics of it in.. as someone said, it does slightly curve more then the corrado one so is slightly raised at the front near the windscreen.
  15. I fancy and change and going to donny car show next month, and i was thinking to strip my car, rear seats etc and put a false floor in. Will it make much a difference to weight or driving pleasure? or just looks?
  16. My VR handles like a bag of poop. Basically Im wanting to spend couple of hundred quid to get it all renewed and sorted so its much more pleasurable to drive. Plus i dont have a full history so no idea how long ago, if at all, anything has been replaced. Im buying the equipment and giving my car to a garage for a week or two to fit it all. So far i have spent £180 and brought from GSF :- New discs and pads all round (they have me brembo front discs :) ) One ball joint (needs replacing as its bust), but ive heard VAG ball joints are better and i might aswell replace both at once?? Track rod end (one is bust), again, should i go VAG or just replace both at once from GSF? I need to replace a rear ABS sensor as my brake peddle fights back when braking, is it worth replace both at back, or all four or anything? Has anyone got an ideas what else i could / should replace, like wishbones or anything whilst im at it and giving my car to a garage for couple of weeks? Cheers guys for any help! Neil
  17. I got 196BHP which im happy about..
  18. are the kits off ebay for £75 worth getting or not?
  19. haha, i love it when i say, to a mate in the passenger seat whilest im driving, one of the main gimicks of a corrado is the spoiler, and loads they say, what about the spoiler...so then whilest driving and getting near 47 mph i say, watch the spoiler, their like....woooooooow!
  20. I've got a good one for you... When i put my drivers window down all the way, the fuse (no.14) blows, even if i tried to put another fuse in, it'd spark and blow. so i disconnected the plug for the door lock and it stopped blowing for a while. but still blows when it goes down to the bottom of the door. altho doesnt blow everytime. so it MUST be a short somewhere, but i cant find it!
  21. washed it today, not washed it for like 3 months. my car is actually white!
  22. turns out there is something draining the battery, found it when the alarm was off! think it might be the alarm.
  23. not sure about the charging system. tried to use jump leads today to get it started, battery was completly dead, no life what so ever. got RAC coming out within 45 mins to see if they can get it started.
  24. My battery keeps going flat when i arm the alarm and leave it for longer then 24 hours not using it. i had the alarm fitted by an alarm fitters and the had to fit something extra so i could keep the window closure when i arm my car. the guy who fitted the alarm thinks that because that little unit has a constant feed to make it work, its draining the alarm. I brought a new battery thinking it might just be a knackered battery. Ive taken it to a garage, they've done a drop test, it was fine, and also tested to see if anything is using any ampage when the car is armed, there wasnt any difference from the car being unarmed. Ive taken the boot light bulb out thinking it might be that. Has anyone else any ideas? Thanks.
