i was washing my car at night, damn getting dark at 4.30 now! and window cleaner came to get money, started talking to me about my car and how much he liked it and always wanted one. got the usual question mi ALWAYS get, 'how much is yer insurance?' have to tell my story about hanggling it down to £450 tpft. half an hour later he went and said 'you'll have streaks all over that now, you'l have to wash it again...grrrr...which i did 8)

im trying to sort out a photoshoot around that area, but im not sure if they have locked the gates propperly now, when i went, then were wide open inviting me in!

yeah its not the VR, its the cheap run around, mk3 polo 1.3. which has ended up costing alot of money to get it through MOT etc. i think i might do the head gasket, just the effort and time to do it, just a pain in the arse.

i got a shitty run around to get to work and back which seriously takes about 3 minutes to get there (yes i could walk but im too lazy). The head gasket has gone (mayo under oil cap). what happens if i keep driving it until i can get the head gasket done.

parked my car in a car park. came back to see a note under wiper. a whitness saw someone scratch my bumper when reversing and drove off, they got the numberplate. what do i do?

i had a really good one, driving along and came up behind this old car, my mate said, look, its a sciroco. i was like.... oh ye, its the mk1 and id not seen many of them about! this model this one was mint, no rust, all chrome gleaming, really look after! came to a dual carrage way and i went onto fast lane, didnt over take, just stayed behind it looking at its beauty, the guy must of saw what i was doing, put it arm out of the window and a thumbs up! so i flashed and put thumbs up! followed it for ages just gob smacked how god the condition was!

well thought id sorted this, diconnected the drivers lock wires and the fuse didnt blow, but now when i put the window down fully, they fuse blows every time!!!

not really any modifications, more of fixing things.. found out my drivers lock was causing the fuse for the windows and central locking to blow. so got passat door handles to go on and have a new alarm fitted on wednesday next week. fitted nice chrome shiny VW badge to back and silver VR6 badge on back. took my big boot install out that weighed 8 STONE! and trying to sell it. still got brakes discs, pads, bearings to fit, cant be arsed!

pimp my ride fitted one of these onto a van thing few weeks back. looks and sounds CRAP!

Polished speedlines all receipts to prove this Sony CD/MP3 headunit All speakers upgraded to really good ones with an amp powering them anyone any ideas?

ok i disconected everything, and the fuse still blew. so i put a direct 12v to two wires to the drivers window motor, nothing happened, then i switched the pos and neg round and sparks came from the battery when i was touching the posative. then i looked at car, scratching my head and saw that the PASSENGER door window had closed???? i have managed to undo the mechanism on drivers window and wedge and tie wrap it up. but i have no idea where to start next week when i get back from ed38!

thing is, i cant even put a fuse in where its meant to go. going to have a good go at disconnecting everything 2morow, see if i can get the windows up!

nice one, cheers mate. Am i right in thinking that the unit behind the drivers rear quater near the seat is the control unit for the windows?

that fuse had gone, tried to replace it with another 20amp, kept blwoing them tho. so something is shorting it out, what can i do to try and sort this? maybe unplug the rear locking pump, then try it, or maybe unpluggin something else? any one any ideas?

ive tried a search but nothing came up. need a quick answer, going to edition 38 2morow, well i wont do if i cant shut my windows! my central locking and windows have stopped working, tried messing about with pump, blew and sucked into it and the door lockes went up and down. couldn't find anything else. i cant manually move the windows, i need to close my windows, where is the control unit, or how do i do it? i just need them closed for this weekend! thanks, neil.

Don't think they do, go to VW. While you're at it, get some carrier bolts. So if i go in and ask for carrier bolts will then know what im on about or do i need a part number? are there 2 carrier bolts in each caliper? and what are these boots your on about?
