  1. 184C Thermal Fuse Maplin RA19V - 57p
  2. Yeah sounds dodgy - you'd expect someone like that to have business insurance so they would just use that and not offer to pay cash...
  3. Yep, the D part is the 23.81mm MC for RHD cars with the ATE ABS system... And the B part is the 22mm master cyl for all non ABS cars Go and shout at the dealer!
  4. Supercharged

    im not sure

    Under gearstick gaitor...
  5. Clearly you do! - drive down to the summer scorcher!
  6. Lee - what are the part numbers of the bits you have tried...
  7. Mate - Darren mentioned the TB switches again and I know you have checked them but have you checked they are working with the loom plugged in and testing at the ECU plug?? Earth is pin 6 Full is pin 15 Idle is Pin 11
  8. Riley - With the ECU unplugged I get nothing - I think that proves there is not a wiring fault or none of those wires are making contact in the loom... With the ECU plugged in I did get readings but all we are doing is looking at the ECU circuitry - as my car is knackered tho it would be good for someone else to do this to compare... 1 to A 692 Ohm 1 to B 698 2 to A 692 2 to B 689 3 to A 3.0 3 to B 0.4
  9. Right - gonna do this now - there is no way that should be correct IMO... Did you have the ECU plugged in?? Back in 10...
  10. Strong smell of petrol = leak Andy... I would replace that hose at the end of the rail asap if you've not done so - it can leak fuel onto the manifold and potentially cause an engine fire!
  11. Erm, yeah the search is currently foooked, hopefully will be fixed in the not too distant future...
  12. It should brake nice and straight with no skids, you may feel a slight judder thru the pedal as the ABS kicks in...
  13. Well... not really sure, I was planning on keeping the sandbag stuff as that is fine and the compressed horse hair stuff or whatever it is seems similar to foam with regards to density and spongeyness...
  14. John - The Foam shop in Kesgrave are pretty good and usually have some off cuts lying around... I need to do something similar as the OE stuff is useless (and stinks) after it gets an water onto it... was planning just to replace with High Density foam...
  15. Hello, manuals were still available at the dealers a year or so ago... The fogs on a 94 VR are fuse number 10 (from RHS as you look) and 10 amp and this covers front and rear. The fuse box is located on the drivers side behind a shelf in the lower dash secured by 2 square clips - you'll see what I mean!
  16. Have you had a look at the knowledge base guide? Would do the water pump with the engine out...
  17. Nice one mate - must have been well chuffed when it started first time! With recards to the rad, yep thats the original mate - ND Marsdon now Denso Marsdon are still based in Shipley, Nr Bradford AFAIK they are still made in England (what does yours say?) and seem to be so much better quality than any other make even Valeo... strange for something made in England!!
  18. PMSL - don't dis the diesel man! - 63MPG on the way back from BVF!
  19. Yeah it sounds silly but I know insurance companies will try anything to get out of a claim and if they know your on factory wheels they will expect to see the right tyre size... Some tyre places are also getting funny (probably becuase of the blame culture were getting coming over from the states) but I had one place refuse to fit some H rated tyres I bought from a show in place of V rated (same tyre and size) which I would agree with on a Corrado but this was on a Golf driver....
  20. Also bare in mind that could invalidate your insurance... Toyo's - the only experience I have had is with T1S's which I thought were awful and not even good value for money becuase they wore so quickly... I think they are really designed for the Jap market only so I'm keeping well clear... I would recommend in order of price Barum Bravuris, Uniroyal Rainsport or Eagle F1 GSD3
  21. Yeah should just work if they are off the same car but as above you may need to adjust the striker... Just check the middle 3 numbers for the part number matches between the handles and mechs - should be 839 NOT 837
  22. 4cyl ones are the same and same part each side but the Plus suspenion (VR6) ones are a different part and they are sided.
  23. Thats actually a 30 or a 50amp fuse that big one depending on air con or not... Only available in packs but I have some 50's if anyone needs one...
  24. Hi mate - later G60's use the same as the 16V's but as there is a change on chassis number it's worth going to the dealer and getting a quote and making sure they match the correct part number so you know what your looking for...
