  1. Nope, thats all you need... If you get a set of Goodridge for a 95 on Golf VR from GSF that should give you a complete kit for the car for £40 (with CCGB discount) Just check the banjo bolts that come with the kit fit the calipers, if not go to a bike shop...
  2. Yep, MAF near the air filter and the intake sender would be in the airbox if fitted?
  3. Yeah get the OE ones - £50 ish Look a bit thin compared to Just Matz but they will last ages...
  4. Worth stick a few ltrs of fresh fuel in the tank... Basically the way a VR works is that while starting (cranking) the ECU waits for a signal from the Crank Sensor before activating the FP relay
  5. Yep, the mk3's that come with them all had 288's Movage,...
  6. Good work and nice pics but it might have been easier just to remove the bigger spline adapter from the Corrado column?
  7. Coolrado - are they still doing this 'special offer' ? Are you going to BVF mate?
  8. LOL at this thread! A New screen from VW is only £240, any glass place can source the same screen made by SEKURIT for about half the price, just without the VW logo's - they also do top tint versions... Labour should be no more than an hour but they will need the car for 4-5 to let it set as it's a bonded screen and therefore structural to the chassis Things to look out for... Don't get a PILKINGTON screen as the profiles are not the same as the original New Screens come with the plastic scuttle pieces but the white clips underneath are likely to break so make sure they order new ones of these along with the seals and maybe a windscreen seal too (£20) The pillar trims inside are obselete now I think so make sure they are very careful with these!
  9. No to VAGCOM but Guy Hartley used to do digital mileage 'correction' Toad - good idea but made me think of Feris Buellers Day Off... :D
  10. You should Mike - my one's actually started working since you pressed on it - lol!
  11. I *think* all Bosch stuff has a 2 year warranty but you may have to go directly to them for that... Not sure if it works on exchange parts tho etc but worth a try... If you do end up getting a new one get it from VW - not much more and you get a brand new part (exchange) The rebuilt stuff is a false ecomomy as they will only change what is wrong and chack a few things and spray it black
  12. Could be yeah - not sure where you are but well worth a trip down to Gwerks if you can for a check and setup...
  13. Sounds like the oil seals not seated correctly??
  14. You can get repair kits which are sided and I think it includes the part you mean...
  15. Weird... Maybe a blockage and at least it sould like it's related to the slave rather than the clutch / fork / release bearing etc Dave - I take it you know the takeoff to the clutch is halfway down the fluid res so you can't let it go below that while bleeding... Maybe try taking the bleed nipple out and bleeding into a container then try a new slave...
  16. A fiver!! They usually give them away for free - it's advertising after all! I have a 'Wolsey' one somewhere - got it to try and make 'Walesy' before I thought about the s and e situation
  17. Steve's got an Edition One tho... (He just hangs about on the CF wishing he had a proper car! ) I reckon it's worth a try tho - still not sure why G60's are so notchy!
  18. MK3 one will fit but you'll need the brackets and tensioner and you will also need to change your other pulleys to drive the bigger 6 rib V belt... good mod but not straight forward.... Maybe worth talking to Jabba as they do this on there IHI G60 Conversions...
  19. Yep, correct - same thing happened to me and Gazman on his VR, luckily the ratchet I was undoing the bumper bolts with saved it dropping any further... I now always use a bottle jack under the engine mount when taking the bumper off!
  20. Yeah, about £200 from VW,\ maybe cheaper from GPC?? Also worth trying an aircon specialist I would have thought...
  21. Yeah a couple of people have got this far and thought better - trouble is it's too much of an expensive item to c0ck up even if it is just a spare... I would pop it down to G-werks at some point as Darren will probably rebuild it and show you the ins and outs if your interested...
  22. As Steve says check the pipe going to the ECU from the Throttle Body, check the condition and length (Needs to be 100cm exactly)
