With Samco hoses you either need SAMCO's own pipe clips, proper Jubilee's or what I used - Mikalor which are very heavy duty! http://www.powerengineering.co.uk/mikalor/ Just be careful not to overtighten ones that go onto plastic pipes...

Stealth, drill a hole to reveal a screw to adjust the warm up regulator, this stops the car running lean high up in the rev range, the WUR mod is the best thing you can do to a Mk2 16V GTi! -
Yep, I noticed that they were doing that again - absolute bargain for what you get, that set will probably last me the rest of my life!
-
sharlie1982, so you have no dipped beam??? Check the fuses on the loom (should be near the battery) - even if they look ok you may want to re-seat them as they corrode under there, also tell us if ou have the 2 relay setup or not...
-
Yep, or you can unplug it at the fusebox end (yellow wire seperate from the rest of the loom)
-
sharlie1982, when you move the slider from hot to cold does it feel like it's connected to anything?? - it should be fairly stiff and you should here a flap moving across (if not the the cable may have snapped - a fiver from VW)
