The Tim Stiles one has alot of G60 related stuff in, yes... I got mine free with the Golf mag subscription i think..
-
Yep, sounds correct based on the diagnostics... dead Crank sensor will cause the engine to turn and not fire up, and the magnet inside it will have lost resolution over the 10 or so years... saying that, it maybe wise to check the wiring and plug connection before ordering!
-
All late 16v's came with self diagnosis like the VR. MAF's are usually located between the airbox and the throttle body, you could try cleaning it but it's probably over 10 years old, i'd say get a new one...

swap them first - and don't touch the glass!
-
Nice one mate - Thats great news!
-
Yes, as said above the HR/Koni combo seems to suit VeRa's very well but for 4 cyl cars i'd have to recommend the Konigsports, Venom Motorsport seem to do the best prices!
-
Have you tried unplugging the BTS while running or measuring the resistance across the pins?? If it cuts out or resistance is ver high/out of range then it's knackered!
-
Ah, just found the club gti thread i was after, yes as Mike says the top plate maybe needed, and also 'threaded bush' 1H0 412 365A which sits in the bearing housing I think... http://www.clubgti.com/forum/forum_post ... top+mounts The other part numbers are in the thread including the 'spring disk' - I think it's the early one thats needed on later VR's if fitting H&R springs.. Also spoke to a mate tonite who has fitted this to a G60 with konigsports and he confirmed it fitted ok and just had to buy the nut/threaded bush and top plate.

What car is it?? MK4 Golf?? Sounds like a Coolant Temp sensor issue to me, try and locate the one that feeds the ECU (may be combined with the one for the gauge) and measure resistance across the pins.. no reading = dead sender!
-
Yep, they are all on the same circuit, look in the fuse section of the owners manual! Locate the blown fuse, replace it (like for like) then try each device once at a time to see if the fuse blows, maybe a dodgy bulb, maybe some bad wiring or caused be something plugged into the cig lighter but more than likely it will all be ok again after replacement, carry a couple of spares too!
-
Arse! - I have 2 waited to be fitted, hopefully Sam can confirm this...
-
MJ Interiors are based in Shipley I think, not sure if they do what your after but worth a phone.
-
Yeah, I reckon most of them are still on the road, I only know of 3 or 4 that have been written off.... It would be interesting to know!
-
Yep, VR ones fit and are tougher.. Make sure you order the mount and the brearing as these are seperate parts unlike the G60 ones.
-

MarkGolf, on a VR6?? - are you talking about the serpentine belt tensioner? - if so have a search on here 'aux tensioner', the bearing is replacable for about a tenner (whole unit is £60 from Ford/VAG)
-
its running but well rough, i need help please!!!

You need to unplug the ECU then look at each sensor in turn and check the continuity of the signal wires and earths (some have there own and some earth back to the ECU) Multimeter time... -
Yep, reseat the bulb, then if no improvement, try the one from the other side...

Will a MOMO Boss from a mk1 gti fit a corrado???
Supercharged replied to khurrado's topic in Interior
you can buy the adapter from VW, or remove it with a 3 legged puller from a Corrado to fit a mk1 wheel... -
Brakes?? - I think the bigger one is for ABS cars...
-
LOL - I was wondering where the feck you aquired that from, thought it was one of Dinkus's mums skirts!
-
coolrado, they are probably a franchise - I'd get a letter with photo's off to the RAC head office asking why the hell they removed the bonnet and demand a new screen and paint job or you'll go to which? etc... Let them paint the front end and if it doesn't match then demand the rest of the car is done to match!
-
Thats appauling! - why on earth did they take the bonnet off!!!! Yep, those Pilkington screens are New Zealand cack, the one on my TDI has a flat spot so the wipers miss part of the screen, It has a small crack so I'm looking at getting it changed soon (for a proper Securit one) but threads like this don't inspire much confidence!

Supercharged replied to steveo29's topic in Engine Bay
