That would have had a servo, my mate had an old Y reg - that really was terrifying, he used the engine to brake more than the brakes themselves...
-
The front ones are just Mk2 Golf I think...

Yep, it can't be adjusted, if the bite point is too low - ie near to the floor then you have a problem with the hydraulics... Most likely the slave cylinder leaking.
-
 If your talking about the T1S's I'd never recommend them for Wet tryes, there awful... Not tried the T1R's but would imagine there not much better!

Corrado Club Great Britain website - where's it gone?
Supercharged replied to golddust's topic in General Car Chat
I was told there was a problem with the server but seems to have been down a long time... -
The Sykes Pickavent one they used to sell actually listed the Corrado on the front of the box - you might find them being sold off still, mine was £12 but the new 'Laser' ones I think are the same but I would check first (the metal bits that lock into the caliper piston should be on the outside of the circular face)

Hmmm... That might explain it then as the G'werks Wideband was not available when I was down there (it had blown up when plugged into a customers car with dodgy wiring) so not sure if the Air/Fuel Ratio was set that accuratly? Mind you, it went like a rocket back from yours earlier Kev - Nice cold air at 3 degrees! Kev - do you know anywhere around Ipswich that have Wideband equipement? G-man - Might have to come down after xmas and spend some money!

Or did you mean Koni Top Adjustables and H&R's?

remember you need the windback tool (halfords etc) for the rear brake calipers...
-
I'd check the screws holding the dash shelves in place...

Mk3 handles are much shorter, the only ones that fit are the Passat items from cars of around the same age...

Corrado Spotting - December 2004
Supercharged replied to mildmanneredjanitor's topic in General Car Chat
Corrado mania in Ipswich at the moment... Green Storm parked at BT's Adastral Park reception yesterday lunchtime then later spotted another green one (no badges) around Warren Heath after work.. Then after going up to Stealth today, saw 3 in 30 mins - an L reg with VR6 at the bottom of Gladstone road, then another L reg VR, red around warren heath again then an M plate coming out of Woodbridge... -
Happy christmas...........Here's a huge bill...enjoy

Go to Stealth for a second opinion... -
Unlike the VR, the G60 has a socket for chip so its just a case of swapping them over after they have written the new eeprom... The new SNS 5.5 maps work with the standard regulator...
-
Jabba use there own chips...
-
They are held within the disc so best to do both side with new discs/pads really...
-
Run from cold again with the cap off until the stat opens and also sqeeze the pipes to expell the air out the system...
