The non top adjustable yellows are also height adjustable at the back but only have 3 points for the circlip

Nah, VW's original classic green was Lalsa green (however you spell it) Oak green best tho... I still want an Oak green mk2 16V GTi

Check the wiring to the speed sensor on the gearbox... Is the MPG still working, if so the the needle may have just come off its spindle... Rad fan switch is likely to be dead as the afterrun is on a seperate circuit anyways...

The light is probaly broken, 2 Litres is a hell of a lot, half the capacity of a 4 cyl... hope the big ends survive!

If the headgasket is now ok the only other place where water and oil can meet is the OE Heat Exchanger where the oil filter screws up to, have you changed that??? If not bypass it and fit a mocal oil cooler...

Tappets are a fiver each and 2/3 hours labour to change...

Yeah, I watched Graham at Stealth change Kevhaywire's cams earlier and he was saying the one with the sensor is a b*&stard, he made it look easy tho but we did find the sender wheel broken, luckily they keep a spare in stock.

If the play is noticable on the steering wheel only then the steering column may be loose or worn, may not be the rack...

Corrado mats are £50 from VAG, only foam backed tho... The next set I buy will be from Justmatz and I'd be tempted to make a template and spray the Corrado logo on...
