Yeah, you should make it your project to get all the standard wear items replaced with original parts as your half way there already and just drive it for a bit and get used to it before any mods... 8)

You sure there the right springs??? Have you an early or late 16V as there is a difference in the standard ride height between the 2

Did you chip it the same time as the rebuild?? or does it have an aftermarket chip?

Afraid it is mate! - I wouldn't even bother looking at a car if the mileage wasn't on the advert as it just looks dodgy... I know that the overall condition is more important and so on...

Thats good news really mate! - You have to wait a bit longer but at least you have the Pug, the car should feel fantastic when you get it back, the only problem is you'll have to buy more front end parts for Stealth, new wishbons and bushes / ball joints etc... The impact must have been fairly hard to bent the axel (£500 from VW by the way) but maybe the wheel took alot of the force directly? I like the way your sticking with the OE suspension now as when its all done it should feel like it did brand new!

I think the 16V ones are quite expensive and the tensioner is different... My G60 cambelt was less than a fiver but I think the 16V ones are more like £25??? :?

Does your advert say the mileage and the year, If not then thats why... If you state all the basic info in the advert then you will only get serious people call up...

The last Corrado's were built in 95, there are 5 or 6 registered on a P plate but apart from that there is nothing special about them, I've seen 2 but they could have been the same one... A guy was selling a Q plater on eBay a while ago, 'one of a kind' - yeah, I bet it was! And I have heard there is an R plate somewhere but thats probably bollox! Me, Mr Haywaire and Mr NelsonWilbury were discussing something similar in the pub last night - How VAG seem to 'find' cars like the few G40 Polo's that got registered on T plates and Mk 2 16V GTi's on N's... maybe there are still some Corrado's still to come....

You won't rebuild it if its got a hole in the casing, something would have given way inside to create the hole... Daren sells new chargers for £1000 but you will need the whole boost system cleaned for debris and the head off the engine to I think :(

So did you have the plugs out shortly before you noticed the noise Henny because from what you said you started hearing the noise and immedietly stopped but I don't see how it could have got in there and not made a noise from the minute the engine was started... :|

Oh yeah... wasn't really thinking how small it was... so smaller than say one of the Throttle Body bolts?? Trying to think where there are any other allen headed bolts in the G60.... If it was that small could it have gone in thru an oil filter?? - Did you do a change just before the noise appeared?

WTF!?! - So If it wasn't there when you did the gasket and didn't go thru the charger how did it get in??? If someone dropped it in the oil filler could it have made it there???
