  1. Classic quotes from Donkus after I opnened my bonnet on Saturday... 'So where's the engine?' and 'You can see the ground under there!'
  2. Yeah, there always friendly and sort me out but the amount of times I order stuff and it goes missing and gets re-ordered  - thats why I asked him to look again, I knew they were back there somehwhere! She is usually ok and fairly knowledgable, made me laugh tho, you go in and ask for a part number that they say they can't match on there system, I bring the mount with me, guy takes it and finds something that looks similar, opens the bag and its got the same fecking VAG part number written on it as mine  Result for you tho Dom, £9 better than £30!
  3. No real dealings with them but the quote they gave me was fairly uncompetitive...

    tyre pressure

As far as I know, Pressure is pressure, the weight of the car is the same so just run whatever you did before in the old tyres and adjust from there to counter oversteer/understeer... I usually run 35 in the fronts and 32 at the back in the summer and a couple of PSI less in the winter... I suppose the profile you are now running will be less 'forgiving' so may want to set it to a slightly higher pressure than previously.
  5. Yes, its well worth the 300 mile round trip for me to Stealth just for there knowledge of the Corrado... You will find you go there once and just don't want to go anywhere else...

    g60 top speed

I doubt i'm making 200 brake to be honest but anything over 190 would be good! Yeah Dickless was trying to keep up, he drives fairly well in a straight line you know! - So Simons got a red one now has he?? cool, I didn't see it but I don't tend to notice Rice, not a big fan.
  7. Yep, thats the problem, mine went off earlier and i thought the worst after reading this but i think its just very windy outside... only dont that once before when a lorry went past it on the street going way too fast but the problem is people just ignore car alarms now as there so used to faulty ones and when some bugger tries to break into it the fecking thing doesn't even go off!!
  8. Steve, I think Mike was refering to your coment about the GSF springs

    g60 top speed

It was on axle stands at the time so perfectly legal  Seriously tho, G-werks/Pitstop did a superb job on mine, going from 170BHP on a standard original engine and charger to what it is now (hopefully find out at the RR day coming up) 8) 150mph takes a bit of time to get to but 130 is stupidly easy...
  10. Andi, sorry to hear about that mate, hope you get it sorted asap :|
  11. There is also an ilumination lead with the ISO conectors...

Yep, sounds like theres a problem there, I have roughly the same spec but Gwerks charger, 68mm pulley and SNS chip and the timing set up to run on Optimax, I get 25mpg minimum and hit 150mph a few weeks ago (GPS measured  )
  14. As it says in this thread, you just need 2 of the following... 6X2 998 406 £14.75 each +vat (but depends on what discount you get)

    ECU reset

Erm.. thats only for use with G60 engines! - you need the ABV variety
  16. beavis, Thats the longest post you've ever made! - Some good info there
  17. The glass is held to the window regulator by a couple of bonded bits of metal, one of these has come off
  18. Its the MK2 to MK4 conversion ones that Storm, needs which you can't get... BTW - all the new Goodridge hoses how come with a plastic outer sleave 8)
  19. Sounds like Expert Technik have re-opened under a new name  PDI service - hmmm nice!
  20. Its not what Nelson thinks unforunetly, Its just a kit that has the bits needed to swap the locking barrels over to a new handle. :( Yep, just a straight swap, I'm running a short one on mine and havn't noticed a difference but I don't use the radio that much...
  21. Get goodridge hoses if you need them all round, they'll be about the same price as buying the OE ones.. the rear conversion ones are about £20 for the pair, new Corrado rear discs are about £17 from VAG, a bit less from GSF....
  22. They must have given you the wrong ones as you should have ordered 2 of the same part number so if one is different to the other... also the price is way to high, with no discount at all they should be less than £50! The parts bloke you spoke to must have been a complete muppet, there would have been a mk4 there with the aero blades fitted as they were standard on the later cars, so thats what he needs, the lupo ones will be way to small for a mk4!
