Ah I see... If you need a new one then it's best to go to VW
-
Hardly... it's ****ing down with rain and I had to drive through a road full of onions to get to work...
-
Hold on... the central locking wire is attached to the handle, doesn't come off and is clipped onto the door at the bottom so door card must come off - very important to run the wire correctly and clip it to the door to avoid the window mech too. The bolt on the drivers side on certain models is reverse thread (you see an arrow on the bolt) - the replacement handle may not be.
-
You tried VW? - user to be around £6 each
-
Wooooow... hold on! I'm sure it wasn't meant to come across that way... do you have a link to this thread? ---------- Post added at 08:52 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:51 PM ---------- Always welcome mate!

Plus throwing empty cans of RedBull at 4 cylinder 'peasants' and stubbing cigarettes out on non turbocharged cars... That and his car is a rusty old heap of sh1t... infact it's almost like looking at an old MK1 Cortina!

Not scrapped as I wouldn't appear on the database...

H774 ARC Wonder if it's still about?
-
Yep - one of the best things about the MK2 Golf were the heaters and it's the same kit on the Corrado - only problem is obviously this probably lead to the worldwide heater matrix / bypass valve recall than went on for years and I think is still active in the US.
-
Which is why G-werks etc always recommended changing the oil feed too!
-
LOL, can't have been a good experience Chris but well done! So what happened to Brian Rose and his 2 (or 3?) Corrado's??
-
Yeah It basically looks at how clean the oil is I think, then uses that value along with the mileage reading to dictate the long life intervals... pointless if you change the oil as often as we do!

Yeah, it is a bit random but good for the price - printed on strange recycled paper too -
I think it's just oil quality and level Kev but I may be wrong...

Can't really go wrong with a MK4 TDI or a Passat if you want more room... just be fussy, look at a few and get a good one! As above the 130 is the best all rounder, 115's suffer from Headgaskets and 150's from chocolate cams - as long as they've been reguarly serviced with the correct PD spec 5W40 Oil though you can't go wrong, 6 Spd gearbox's are great too but clutchs / DMF's cost £ Audi's also just as good but parts will cost more although you get free MOT's at Audi - obviously the A3 shares parts with a MK4 -
Jack and axle stands - any recommendations?

Halfords - great quality and not too pricey! -
Also worth buying the white clips too - critical for security!

VR6 Battery recommendations - search not playing nicely...
Supercharged replied to MarkFoster's topic in Engine Bay
Yep, I have one Mark but you might want to consider one from TPS - cheaper i think!
