Just took the TDI for an MOT and was handed a printout at the end on plain paper... I know it's all computerised now so fraud is not an issue but surely the ones we used to get couldn't cost much!

You'd know if way a MK2 seat - completley different... It the handles come off then you'll still have a bit of metal sticking out
-
They should both adjust mate on all Corrado's Only Golf's that don't.
-
It will fit but it will be a generation newer if yours are the original type so VW say you should change the other side too. tbh - not really much point buying second hand, buy a new one and it will last a good few years if maintained.
-
Haha - the hacksaw pic made me chuckle - I power-sanded mine off!
-
Yeah suprised they didn't tell you or just replace it...
-
Just wondered if the timings slipped - just seems strange that a code isn't logged...

KipVR- that looks great and very OE - what air box is it?? did the bottom part fit without modification apart from removing the washer bottle bracket? What about the washerbottle - is that a MK4 part? bracket? These are 2 things I really need to tidy up on the TDI!

Have the chains ever been done?

Clutch Master Cylinder? where can I get one?

Glad you got it sorted - what was the part number for the CMC? -
At least if they found that much wrong with it that explains the handling - do all the bushes as above and it will be great! Assume it's been a while since the MOT too?
-
Yeah, should be ok - the reason they break is lazy garages using air tools to undo or replacing old ones and doing them up way too tight.

G60 Rolling Road Set Up or re-map.. Where from? Recommendations Please

Based where you are i'd say Chip Wizzards -
Yeah sorry that was the way I thought you meant - the link above shows how the VW one goes - I would try and get them to change it to that one, at least Hengst is an OE make.

What car do you have? (just that filter won't fit a 16v) It's a straight swap and assume it goes in like the old one as you say, prime the ignition a few times before starting. If you have a 92 car or older you may want to buy the newer plastic carrier if it's still got the old metal one as it's much easier to change. Also really best off buying filters etc from VW - pattern ones like this go rusty after a couple of years where a genuine will still look new after 5!
-
Ah nice - good to know that's a replaceable part!

Removal of the rear number plate holder, help needed for its survival!!

It's just tape but if the 2 fixings at the back are broken you'll need a enw one anyway - classic parts only now -
It's an LED I think - not replaceable part as far as I know - may need to solder
-
It comes with a new switch but if you ask VW to look at older MK2 Golfs they should be able to find the part needed.
-
The whole car was designed and hand assembled in Osnabruch including the panel pressing / welding. That Wolfsburg badge I think appears on the fische but isn't actually a Corrado part when you click on it - probably a page shared with the mk2
-
Yep, as above rust can cause the issue but It's more likely to be a faulty expansion tank if it wasn't a genuine one?

Those BBT branded ones are useless, they fall apart after a couple of years!
