Nah, just look like normal discs after a week of use ;)
Seem to stay a bit more shiney and don't rust when standing as much as normal discs....
They're just a damn good setup.
Grooved discs make a cool whirr when braking hard from speed :)
-
Agreed, when the Passat brakes need doing, I'll definately Black Diamond it up ;)
Corrado-wise: got mine from C&R, along with Goodridge hoses kit and Mk4 calipers.
Well worth it.
-
The discs - married with the pads - make an excellent setup though.
Excellent braking, and the pads last for ages.
14 months later on the C and they had hardly worn at all (whereas I normally would be down to the metal after 12 months!)

Not happy with this, sorry.
mtc R32, PM'd.
-
I thought Cup wheels scooped air into the middle to cool the brakes?
In which case - they're the wrong way round...

einstein didnt fail with it, he just couldnt explain what was happening wilhelm reich came up with the idea of orgone...That would be Wilhelm Reich the psychoanalyst. Not Chemist.
Orgone - a.k.a. "libido".
Now, don't get me wrong, but I don't think Austin Powers can power his Shaguar on Mojo alone.

"Computer, run me a diagnostic on the input polarisers."
"There is intermittant contact in the input polarisers."
Beats VAG-COM.
(Yes, that's a real quote. And no, I didn't look that up.)
G/f realllly wondering what she's living with now... sorry babe!

The only gas I've come across which would be sub atomic would be completely ionised hydrogen in the form of a plasma,Ah, it'll be a warp drive then.
Not sure the spoiler extends enough for the nacelle to create the warp bubble to bend space around the car though.

Top Gear
Motoring magazine presented by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. With World Cup fever under way, there's an epic contest as the Toyota Aygos are pitted against the very toughest of opponents - a team of VW Foxes, built in Brazil. Jeremy finds out whether the suspension on the new Citroen C6 is all it's cracked up to be, and the Star in the Reasonably Priced Car is Oscar-winning screenwriter and actor, Julian Fellowes.
Tue, Jun 6 19:00 - 20:00 (BBC TWO 2)
Edit: Interesting how the Star in a RPC is wrong... ah well! (it's Michael Gambon)

I did take it off, and it was resting against the little plastic stub at 0MPH, thats where I put it back on, well thats what it looked like anyway. May have to retry it.Not quite right.
If you lift the needle over the stop - it should come to a rest pointing at the angle in the bottom corner of the dial.
That's about 5mph out, so there's your problem.
Put the needle on pointing to the angle in the metal of the dial face, then lift it over the needle rest.
Edit: Oops, missed the Page 2 ;)

I had a similar problem with the fuel pump relay on mine. It wasn't the relay itself, but the the switching earth that runs to it. Without the earth from the ECU (which cuts in case of emergency) the relay doesn't engage, therefore no fuel.
As a temp fix, I patched another earth in directly onto the relay pins until I got an autoelectrician to sort the wiring properly.

Doesn't need to fit a baby seat just yet then ;)
Sorry - don't mean to sound harsh!
It's likely on a Matiz that its both bags on, or both bags off. I can't find any details about how you disable just the passenger side airbag -- at consumer level. A garage may disable just one side by removing it I 'spose!
You can fit a baby seat in the back of a Matiz though.
-
There will be a warning on the sun visor and maybe on the passenger door frame if the airbag can't be disabled.
Else, reading the manual is going to be the obvious answer. C'mon - how long does it take? They do have a Contents and Index you know - 30 seconds top!

Think it has to be O2 Online, with their mega text deals... Different billing system.
I always enter the 5th Gear and Gadget Show competitions - and I've never had a charge for Premium texts on my account - they always seem to come out of my free allowance (all 1000 of 'em!).
-
those bloody competitions from which they triple their moneyFound out that O2 Online can't/don't bill me for the 81555 number - so I always enter!
You never know - even better if free ;)

Wait for sciroccotune to reply, and you'll find out...

Depends how cheap you want ;)
DIY cable kits on ebay...
Software from.. ahem..

Use the search.

Agreed - the newer engines and engine management certainly do a better job of it all.
I get 400 miles out of mine, and it's a 15 gallon tank, not 17 like the Cs...
-
That's what we're here for ;)
-
I've got a Bel Euro 550 in the cupboard not being used if you want a good detector....
Wassit worth? ;)
-
Just don't park in low-ceiling'd multi-storeys - or any normal house garage to that effect too...
-
1995 car, so most likely Immobiliser.
Plenty in the search about it ;)

CorradoVR6-n.o.s, wrong way round.
He's looking for the standard, non-GTI arms, that would have the normal blades.

Sorry, but if it was the difference between them looking 'nice' and stopping me from ploughing into the back of somebody - I'd take the latter!
