  1. Flames are generally caused by over-fuelling, and more often than not when the timing has been advanced, causing the car to run richer.

The airbox modification changing the amount of O2 being drawn into the engine, plus some lazy retardation by the engine, will cause the odd flame-burp.

  2. Red=Fast, the other problem with doing as you've said, in the UK if you are involved in an accident and the inspectors find anything non-standard / illegal about your car, any claim you make will be thrown out. No insurance company will put it as a suitable mod, as they are illegal, so you VOID your insurance.

Handy when you drive into another driver who was dazzled as you came over the brow of a hill, due to not having them setup correctly, killing their passenger, paralysing the other driver, writing off both cars, and you have to foot the bill.

Yeah, I'll stick to my legal lights thanks ;)

  3. Headlights have to be setup so they do not dazzle other users. Doesn't matter if they're pants...

As for the HID-laws - all kits require special lenses, ballast, high-powered washer jets and self-levelling. You can't fit all that in ;)

G60Jet is the know-all on this subject ;)

    (Plus, ahem, 'Use the search')

  4. My previous rad 'bulged'

It was too fat to be removed the non-dismantling way, so they took the front end off to do the same as you.

I have aircon rads in the way, etc too though, so its a little tighter ;)

    So yes, has happened before!

Just a weird way for them to die I think.

  5. I doubt very much its a true 201mph.

I was sat waiting at the train station picking up the Mrs and my 'New' Road Angel went wandering off. I was doing 45mph at one point, whilst parked!!

I'm sure its an oppurtune photo taken during a GPS glitch ;) Happens when its not quite locked on completely.

Indicator on the far-right of the Road Angel's screen proves my point - it has no signal.

    It's a fake, ladies :p

  6. Check that its not something different now.

You may be wrong assuming its the same problem you were having previously.

Check all vacuum hoses for splits - including the plastic box to the back of the engine that has 2 hoses running into it. If the VR6 engine can't keep the vacuum, it'll just die.

Might help - happened to me!
