  2. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/16-1984- ... 0963QQrdZ1 hmmm - not original - but an inspired choice AND CHEAP
  3. Looks really great IMO What they called? I'm really interested in a set - similar in style (to a degree) to the Corvette wheels - spokes are done, time to progress and go "slab sided". "can't please all the people all the time . . . "
  4. my VR has the optional "touch light" facility I just have to brush the central dial and all lights on the heater panel turn off - and just repeat to make them turn on again. VW genius!!!
  5. 200mph? surely gearing and drag would come into play ????
  6. I should imagine the downpipe was different and everthing else was the same - PG engine isn't it?

  8. see I knew bras would make a "come back" I wonder if I can get a wonderbra?
  9. Blackcat - I think you'll find the Clio looks a real mess due to the firecrews using the jaws of life on the "french bean can". not to say it wouldn't have been mangled in the first place due to the nastiness of the RTA - but the JoL do make the wreckage look even more dramatic hth
  10. what kind of cloth? most cloths leave "fibres" on the sticky gammy mess over my rear window. I have started to use cotton buds - but it's taking f**king ages to remove a tuppence sized spot!!! I need a lint free cloth - any suggestions?
  11. blade is not a good idea - as it is all over the rear window and i like my demister . . .
  12. Anyone got a good suggestion on how to remove the gunk this nasty cack leaves behind? I have "sticky residue" all over my rear window - and have tried white spirits with little success. I have also noticed loads of the blasted stuff over the door windows just below the window line. Just wonderin if anyone has any "top tips" for removing "sh1t tints"??
  13. looks fuggin awesome it looks way smaller than the old "taxi shaped" one
  14. It would be interesting to see a comparison between the two manifolds. I had Schrick 268/276 cams in mine for about one month, but couldn't get decent power out of them. Now back to KR spec, IMHO a very good set up for every day fast road use.[/quote:d2f6c] In my KR - which had a FB manifold and a set of mild road cams - 268/270 - plus a g flowed head - my Goof managed a helathy 176 bhp with a almost horizontal 155ft lb torque curve. I'm surprised you didn't feel it much increase in grunt - maybe it's the C's hefty bulk?
  15. I think a 4 branch would fatten up your torque curve nicely a set of 268/270 cams would liberate a few more ponies - without the expense of losing low down grunt. cams will cost you about 450 - a manifold prob around 180 - call Grantmotorsport in Bristol
  16. is that a std exhaust manifold on your vehicle?
  17. magnesium ALLOY! the same stuff VW beetle engine blocks were made from - oh and BRM alloys
