engines are the same as fas as I know except 1.8 - which is the KR fitted with mechanical fuel inj. I don't think the systems are that interchangable - with the 1.8. could be wrong though

Becker are class the one to have you if you want to preserve some Teutonic goodness Alpine are my choice - fiscally mainly - but I still have a cassettte head unit in my VR. GO FOR THE BECKER!!! Clarion have a reputation for being bollix in my opinion - I wouldn't waste my money on them. Pioneer lost their way in the late 80's - after their foray into hi fi separates for cars!! IMHO - and I am quite entitled to my opinion before the Uber Corrado fans come out.

it's to do with the tax laws in Germany/Europe And engine output - I don't think many marques had a high power - for their mid range (199bhp That is why the biggest 3 series was only 2.8 for ages. hth

I am the only one who thinks the Corrado looks stupid.......

VW reckons it increases downforce by almost 30% at "high speed" don't know what speed just at "high speed" I have a quote in VW Car and Driver 1989 that says so - so it must be true! The TT recall was not simply the addition of a 'tache - it was also a thicker antiroll bar - and some other front and rear adjustments. This induced understeer rather that oversteer - but the reality was not an unstable car - just unstable drivers in Europe. hth btw - I think it looks silly also -

My VR6 Corrado's intermittent wiper sweeps seem to vary in th rain. Sometimes it's 15secs between wipes - other times it drops to almost 7 seconds. I can't say it varies with engine speed - that's to day, i've noticed it doesn't slowly speed up when I accelerate - so I don't think it's a power supply issue. So is this the sign of a cranky wiper setup I've got going on? - or is there somekind of "VW magic wiper pixie function" on these cars?
