crossflow meaning 16v I presume? imho fit a 1.8t - less effort - even MORE potential
-
they were just 1.6 I think And I'm fairly certain it was all based on a type 1/beetle floorpan - so beetle gearbox and clutch I should presume. And they are slow - 60hp tops My bro in law drag races a pro street version of a razor edge Karmann Ghia - low 8 second quarters anyone?
-
Timo - I'd change your avitar so you can't read your reg - all this talk of insurers and unmentioned mods n'all. ;¬)

Saw two dark blue Corrado's near Henley Beetles in Henley on Thames - on Sat evening 7ish First one definitley clocked me as the driver went crazy doing the thumbs up - you want to calm down chap!! :¬) I was driving a mk2 valve we had just picked up from Brum on here - my mate Jamie was behind in his Green Corrado 1.8 valve.

kids are out of control and know they are "beyond" the law. I found young "streetrats" actually jumping on my bonnet (not of my C thank the Lord) but even after Police intervention - they can't do anything. I do not recomend retribution either - you'll get done on noncing charges. It's a bitter pill Time to bring back the strap/cane at schools methinks - and less rights for kids.

is that a horse chestnut?

my Recaros's got "stolen" by my ins company when my Valve was written off. :¬(

Glad to hear you're alright be thankful you were in a German car - and not some French thing. I was hit by a Nissan Cabstar in my mk2 - and suffered whiplash - you fared much worse. But the Mk2 was built like a tank trust me. I feel for you and your missus - and although physical damage is the more obvious it's the psychological damage which is the shocker. get back behind the wheel soon badger -

The definitive "what exhaust?" discussion thread!
Claret Badger replied to Jim's topic in Engine Bay
surely the state of tune of the engine would dictate power liberated by a freer flowing zaust? ie - how the head had been ported - what kind of duration cams - what state of fettle the inlet manifold/throttle body etc etc There are lot of things to take into consideration - merely bolting on "anything" has a knock on affect elsewhere - be it positve or negative. custom built for your car would be the "definitive" way of producing optimum performance. You can't just slate the marketing - it might of been fine on "their" test car. I could be wrong - but I could be riight jat -

boy done well -
all modern cars are designed with "saftey" in mind - a low steeply sloping bonnet is "safe" for pedestrians don'tcha know? I say sod it and buy a jag XJ6-SC and fit a narwhal bone to the bonnet NCAP that fool

What's the rarest car you've ever seen?
Claret Badger replied to StormVR6's topic in General Car Chat
I never found an Elise hard to get in or out of - and I'm tall!!! There's a few Ultima's around the Thames Valley - fairly common around here. Although I did see a parked Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren t'other day - they're just bad arse. The side pipes n'all. -

BACK ROAD ATTACK WEAPON???? YIKES!!! sounds a bit "y'know" rude! IMHO (and it's the only one that counts) best car you can get for the money - best fun per pound, best looks by far and "that noise" - plus if you need too, you can blast most things into the weeds. But I repeat - "just look at it!!" your worth it :¬)
