following on to bilals post.... who has set the car up for you one the parts were fitted ?

cant sit dwelling on the fact it died ....got a delivery today and she should be back up and runing first thing... fingers crossed.

# It wasn't them as i went there armed with service book etc.... When they called it up they only stamped the book for oil change etc... 1st owner must of added his own tick in the timing belt box... :cry: :cry: One question though is .....In the service book there is a yes-no box, So if the work isn't carried out why the hell dont vag tick the NO box so that this kind of crap cant happen to other people... Maybe andy665 can answer this for us ?

Is there a problem with the tensioners on these bloody engines as your about the eighth person i have spoken to today who has had bad experiance with them.... mine was just a belt that hadn't been changed... :cry: if only they hadn't of lied this would never of happened...

Well put a new belt on today to carry out compression test and got a big fat 0bar on every cylinder... i think this might be why.

now confirmed.... all 20 valves bent.

bally its a club stand not show and shine mate.... if you want a space there is one available

have you tried clay-bar the paint work first jim ?

going to put a belt on in the morning and then turn her over and see whats died... not happy as the passat has FULL vag history with timing belt change bang on schedule by previous owner...

i would say lose it as it must weigh a ton and is bloody close to the floor.

Maybee im expecting to much Asim, its very good dont get me wrong but there is somthing just missing from when i used to swissol my old corrado/golf. Everyone says how good the meq stuff is but they also say that you need multiple products for maintain the finish that can be achieved easilly with far fewer products from swissol etc.... Im just not sure at the moment wether the meq stuff is false economey on the wax... I do feel the clay-bar / quick detailer and the other products are exallent though its just the final wax thats a slight concern.
