For the power they have, the market they were aimed at and what they SHOULD be, they are slow. They really are nothing special. When talking about Jap cars, a VR6 is slow, so saying it would waste a VR is irrelavent. The interior is horrible as well. I had a friend who's 300zx had had some work done and 0-60 was nowhere near that, it really was a big slow lazy shed. Get an S14a 200SX - better looking by miles, more potential, and you can get them for around the same price. They're easily (cheaply) modified, loads of parts available. Plus the RWD fun isn't spoiled by 4WS. Alternatively, an early Evo? The 2's and 3's are surpisingly good, and can be picked up for a good price. They look good, if a little old-skool and surprise a lot of people. I nearly bought 2 RX7's, you have to find one that has had new Apex seals though otherwise you're looking at a huge bill.

The foglights run from a relay which is in the headlight switch - my fogs weren't working but when I replaced the headlight switch they did - the fogs bypass the fusebox AFAIK. Might be worth taking apart an old headlight switch - I can send you my old broken one if I still have it so you know which bit you need?

I know a lot of people are waiting on Headlight Looms as Majik has gone missing. I have found someone who is willing to make a load of looms up for us, he currently makes them for the mk1/2 golfs. He needs to know how similar they are to Golf looms first, but said he is willing to do them for everyone that is waiting - so how many people will want one? Here is his eBay page so you see the quality of the looms - same price too.

Thanks Kad, had a look but seems they don't do them for mine - seems I may just need a new wheel then. Mine are the RK2's...

I might look for some on German eBay, failing that...new rims for me! hmm...............Porsche rims
-
I wasn't trying to say he was Lying as thats what it looks like - I just oufnd it a little hard to believe because they have such a motorsport heritage. Reason I asked on here is that I din't know if you could still get hold of them in Germany or something, but thanks for responding, and sorry, didn't know you worked there!

If you want something quick then there are loads better options than a 300ZX mate.

Insurance: given me a rubbish offer: Finally resolved.

Don't think you send the cheque back, because if you're disputing the price then either they're going to say no and you keep the cheque, or theyre going to send you more money and another cheque on top. That's what happened when some stupid bint crashed into my mate's Integra Turbo (which incidentally got repaired and is now on ebay). -
Here's the full size picture if you don't already have it. Should I do an ebay special and start selling them as posters?
-
But I only left it there to go and get a paper, why are you giving me a ticket?! I just spoke to a company called Edworthy's who are a BBS dealer. They say you can no longer get the outers anymore as BBS made a decision not to sell anything but the complete wheels any more. Am I being told wrong information, as I find this a little hard to believe - BBS historically are motorsport-based, and this would go against this ethos.
-
Big, fat, heavy, slow and ugly. That's my honest opinion I'm afraid.
-
Two of my wheels are in quite bad shape - where can I get new outers from? I have looked at the BBS site but the only contact numbers are in Germany. Any ideas? Ta la's

Switch for the spoiler is above your right knee, and yes, those switches (fogs and heated rear window) should both light up.

Unfortunately what I'm doing isn't finished, and isn't likely to be until the end of the week....SO.... I will award 5.00 via paypal to the person who gives what I deem the funniest answer. Me? Desperate attempt to keep the thread alive? No idea what you're talking about!

I want to achieve a little more power over standard, not lose all the low down grunt, and to retain some kind of idle. I take it the 270 mentioned may be the best option and also an improvement on standard?
-
That would be awesome if I did - I was hoping to have the end result to show everyone today but its not finished yet so it will all have to wait.

ok cool thanks guys, i'll pick some meccano up tomorrow ;) VR6, can you show me a picture of yours?
-
ok, and face them towards the window to reflect the sounds off the screen, or point them towards the cabin?
-
OK ICE guys, where have you mounted your tweeters for your comps? I've looked at putting them on the A pillar, but there isnt enough angle on the mounting cups to face the driver and/or passenger properly, i don't want to drill a hole into my leather doorcards, and there is no where to mount them in the OE positions in the dash unless I make up some brackets - where will give me the best sound? It's pissing me off not being able to fit these. Cheers.
