  1. Oh well, might have been a 1.6 ecotec then ;) Not lost to anything embarrassing as of yet...
  2. Yea i know its bad but never gonna turn to the chav side would rather go Jap? Apparently his father used to build the touring car engines or something similar so he probably had a good helping hand. But yep was gutted lol. Probably a 2.0 16v XE on throttle bodies then - they're more than a match for a lot of cars including Scoobies, I wouldn't be too disheartened if thats what it was.
  3. Have you got any pics of the MK4 one?

    Full respray?

Always easier if it's closer to home though.

    BBS RX2

Mine are the same on my RK's, the lacquer has started to go on the rim. I'd be tempted to split mine myself and give it a go too, like you're doing...rather that than pay the extiornate amount for a refurb.

    Full respray?

I will be getting onw this year, but not anywhere in London.

    Full respray?

Answer are then: No, and no!

I'm not sure but I didn't think you could do this? I'm sure someone will either correct me or agree with me - something to do with the pressure from the tyre or something.
  9. There is a difference between late and early I think but I don't know what it is.

    Full respray?

Was this meant as a reply to a thread mate?
  11. Don't get a scoob, get an Evo. The early ones aren't as bad as you would think, in fact, they're really quite good - less drover aids = more fun.
  12. Diseasels are rubbish. However, VW and Honda diesels are stunning. I want the PD150 (I always thought it was a TD150 Jim?), pull like trains. Big, quick trains. Not like any we have over here! Probably a German train. Actually, German trains probably use VW diesel engines. Am I rambling?
  13. lol yeah ok sorry Jim, I apologise...that's now Two VW Owners In Unbiased Shocker!! See page 32 for details.... etc etc.
  14. VW Owner In Unbiased Comment Shocker!!! :D
  15. AS I haven't ever seen another modified G60 apart from my mates Golf (the white 5 door in the members gallery) I was wondering what sort of exhaust note everyone gets from theirs? Mine seems to be very raspy when I give it some, but on idle, it's very farty, to me, sounds like a highly tuned/cammed turbo car, does anyone else get this? It sounds fairly rough if I'm honest, on idle. I have a full Milltek system with de-cat, by the way.

    Which Backbox?

Yep, any garage should do that. Shouldnt really be more than a couple of hours labour?
  17. Get the cup version instead. I like the look of them, never been in one or know anyone with one (apart fom one round here that I keep seeing, I don't ever see him on a straight bit of road though so haven't had the chance to have a go at him) so I don't have an opinion on them. Yeah, they ARE French, but I think they are built better than old Renaults and perhaps even New Citreons, they still fall apart. Have a test drive, but buy a Cup.
  18. As far as i know you can get rid of them if you can see the front indicator from the side, in which case on the Corrado you can't. Although as RadoAds said, if they're not there you cant test them - he is right about headlights etc...
  19. Motion seconded, and carried!
  20. Yep, was on about these a while back on here, I love them. Lots of work but htey do look superb, and means you could get rid of the indicators in the bumper and use them as an air feed.........in my case, for my intercooler!
  21. With all these new regulations and red tape coming in, you probably need a logging license to do that. TIMBERRRRRRRRRRR!
  22. My local dealer had one in the showroom the other day, And I think I saw one on the road. IIRC, they do do tours of that place, not sure though. Road trip? Nurburgring?
  23. Thought I'd lost those pictures forever, saw them a while back, the place is stunning.
