  1. Welcome back just done the same and looked at your old thread and WOW, :notworthy: what a car you had........ I can see why you are getting rid of the interior on the new car (seeing what you did to your old one) although I have to say I think it is the best colour in the Corrado having the same colour in my standard VR6 in blackberry but my god it is a pain to keep clean. Anyhow can't wait for the new thread to expand in time with pic and developments of the new VR. Looks as though you are well respected and tips on how you do your mods would be great........ maybe a new thread titled Renshaw Recommends :) GOOD LUCK
  2. By mobile camera do you mean vehicle or a fixed one on the side of the road. If it is a fixed camera then surely logic would dictate that the camera would be able to cover both parts of the carriage way as cars would be going faster on the outside lane and the :hitler: that position these would have taken this into account. I got caught speeding on a dual carriageway by an officer with a laser gun. Info'd I would have to go to court :nono: produced papers but nothing came of it. My logic here was that loads of people must have been caught but fought the case as the officer would not be able to prove when laser fired what vehicle it hit on the dual carriageway. :norty:  I received nothing
  3. i bet it is, my tracking needs doing so quite a bit of vibration going on, and my mirror vibrates a gooden, so looking in thats just a blur  what figures is yours running at mate??[/quote:2elq402b] no idea of power but with 20 psi i assume around the 400hp mark....killed many of a car with allot more hp....just need to get it on rollers to find out :)[/quote:2elq402b] Lovely car. Aren't turbo's ace...... only problem is trying to stop yourself from using it all the time. Eventually the law will get you, but it is good fun when you do someone. Have seen off a Porsche Carrera 4S and the new Cayman S (that came at a price though stripped 3rd gear  ). What I like about mine is that it drives just like a normal rad. Need better brakes though as its scary when you try to stop at speed :norty:
  4. Hya Charlie, So you got it on the road. We spoke briefly in May when I posted pics of my cars. It is looking very very nice, will look out for you on those there Wiltshire roads. I have been away and tomorrow now the rain has gone L889 will be taken out from under it dust cover and started again
  5. Yes it is. I sort of fell for it as it was in backberry, if it had been any other colour then I probably would have just gone nice car. Anyhow its now on my drive with the other one, its great seeing people do a double take as they walk up the street. Its also fun as you don't see that colour round Swindon so i can play if someone beats my old car, then i go and get the beast and go hunting!!!!!!!.... few niggles with the new one but they are standard corrado gripes ie the bonnet release and passenger door handle went within 3 weeks of getting it and I also stripped 3rd gear  seeing off a new porsche cayman S along the great western, I even gave them a head start  Rgds Oz
  6. Hya, Ref the Octavia VRS I bought one new in 2003 to allow my beloved Corrado some rest bite. I thought for a 1.8T it was quite quick, me and the missus even semi raced back to Swindon from Cricklade in them. Quite similar in speed to begin with but the VR had just that little more pull as the revs peeked. The Octavia is now chipped and I think the Corrado would struggle. Maybe thats why I then went and bought a 4x4 corrado turbo in the same colour as my old one. I am now one happy chappie a play toy, a quick family(ish) car in the Octavia and standard VR6 (2owners from new and I have owned for 11yrs now. Rgds Oz
  7. Hi first time on forum and hoping you guys and dolls out there can help. Short history, recently car has had new engine and anyway after that the gremlins have appeared. At first car had poor idle and kept stalling, VW Swindon rectified poor idle due to broken wires. Any how car still stalls but now more annoying as it is so intermittent its unreal. Trying to rectify has been nightmare, VAG Diagnostics been used but hasn't solved. So far we have changed Idle Valve - Crankshaft Sensor - Lamba sensor Car engine is standard except for K&N Induction Kit and Longlife Exhaust System (Cat Removed). Could anyone throw any ideas my way as my mechanic is pulling hair out trying to find problem. Rgds Oz
