  1. Go on Dave, you know you want to :luvlove: I think in was Corozin (John) who said, "you haven't really driven a front wheel drive car until you've tried one with an LSD" and he was definately right. Thanks for a drive in yours Gary, MK2 VR6 is an awesome combination. So well sorted and handled really well, think my brain was trying to get out of my ear when you gave it some around that island :D
  2. Just tucking into a rather excellent Cheese and Tomato sandwich, prepared by wonderful wife. Awesome!
  3. Fitted a new sunroof seal last night. Looks much better than the old grey tatty threadbare thing that used to adorn the roof :D My thumbs are sore and blistered now though, whoever fitted those seals on the track at Karmann must have had mega sore thumbs all the time :? Now my roof rubbers look old and tatty next to the shiney sunroof seal!
  4. Twin turbo should be really good. Stick to baby turbos that spool really quick (t03s maybe?), but with two of them it should deliver power all the way to the red line. R32 twin turbos make in the region of 500-550hp, but you'll need the box that Karls selling along with the 4 wheel drive kit to go with it just to get that on the floor! Don't think you'll be wanting to cut and welding the boot floor of your C though Shaun  The ATP manifold looks pretty good and is supposed to fit RHD cars, they also make a downpipe to mate up with the rest of the exhaust. Only 1 turbo on that system though :) http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/Catalog%20Images/Vehicle%20Specific/ATP-VVW-177_450-2.jpg
  5. Curious about Bi-Turbo. Maybe just Bi-Curious :) Looks awesome, don't think it'll fit RHD though :(
  6. VRT on 76k Valver showing 142k, but it's the old style mechanical counter and has a bit of a stutter rolling the tens round? So the digital MFA trip always shows about 25% more miles :) . So who knows how many miles it's actually done.... Runs great though and love the handling
  7. I remember reading on here some time ago that you could swap one of the relays that controls the windows for a MK3 Golf item that enabled you to roll down both windows at once. Pretty sure it also gave you "one touch" closure as well as opening on them too? Anyone else read that? Or was I dreaming of the C again? :D That might explain why my valver does "one touch" close but my VR doesn't? Gonna have to check that out now, still don't think that you can do both at the same time though.
  8. Welcome to the Forum!! That's some serious Corrado love you've got going on. The sheer amount of detail your putting into it. :notworthy: Very very impressed 8)
  9. You just know that any fuel that goes mainstream is going to be taxed to hell and back. If it ain't on fuel it be on something else! I drove past a petrol station today near Wantage and diesel was 121.9!!!!! Robbing gits  I'll be keeping my Corrado for as long as it doesn't need welding up underneath. That was the last straw with our Mk1 Golf, I must be getting old :)
  10. Something rather special about the Corrado, it still turns heads whilst sat in traffic or wandering through town. I've had people make a point of coming over and asking what it is and OK so some get it confused with the Rocco but its a whole lot more interesting to look at than most modern cars! My plan is to keep hold of both of mine until they fall apart. My valver is a bit rough round the edges, but still drives fantastic. At some point the pair of mint wings in my shed will get painted and swapped for the rusty ones. I even have spare doors, a bonnet and front panel which should keep me going for a while! Underneath I haven't yet found any rust at all. Certainly won't be breaking either of them up unless I really have too. And if you get board or think that yours is a bit slow, get yourself a ride out in a VRT, cos they are  Certainly ain't much you can buy for Corrado money that'll deliver quite so much performance (The Subaru STI WRX 06 I followed yesterday had a rather interesting surprise  and wasn't at all happy :D ) and look so fresh at 20 years young.
  11. Nice one Dave glad she got through for another year, don't suppose you fancy 'pootling' along to Stanford again? Sure do Dave! Good to hear your still about :) Current plan seems to be that CazzaVR and Vornwend are running up the M5 from Bristol way and stopping off at Worcester, most likely at or near my place. I'll give you a shout a bit nearer the time. Antonio... are you reading my mind? :D
  12. It was only a normal envelope, not a package or jiffy bag? Nothing surprises me these days, I sent an email last Friday and it took till Wednesday before it arrived :cuckoo: break out the carrier pigeons!
  13. Very nice work James. Looking forward to seeing this in the very near future as it's looking fantastic! Did the postman turn up today?
  14. Great job! I only get to see bits of cars being tested on dynos most of the time. Although the Veyron transmission was pretty amazing under test (no engine, just electric motors doing the work), 1260Nm at 200kph with only a brick wall and some acoustic cladding between the test cell and the control room  . When they let go they usually punch straight through the cladding and stop at the bricks, just! Sure you'll love the team stuff, real sense of just getting the job done and the cars out. Hard work, great fun.
  15. It is really close to the limit and I did have a cat lined up to fit if it needed it. Decided to just throw it in for a test and see how it got on. The MOT just happens to fall just before Stanford Hall and I really did't want to miss that especially this year with 50 Corrados!!! It has chewed through a pair of Toyo-Proxes T1S in 5k miles though  maybe a bit too much 'pootling'
  16. New thermostat on the valver. Decided that when the car still isn't up to temperature after driving 60 miles from Worcester to Gaydon the other week that it might not be working very well. Much better now, fuel economy looks like it's better too :) MOT time for the VRT, always dread this after all the mods that have gone on. But no worries, MOT man was very happy even in decat state. Emissions a little high as a result but still within limits :) Thanks for the complement Graham. Made up my mind about going for a new standard clutch and flywheel, so thats the next job. Should make it a really pleasant and easy drive then.
  17. VRT went for it's MOT today. Passed no problem. MOT tester came out to complement me, 'it's as clean underneath as it is on top! Have you fitted a new petrol tank?'. :D
  18. Prefer the classic look, lowered a bit so it doesn't look like a hi-lux, but not so low that you remove most of the underseal when you encounter a speed bump. The Corrado looks so good in standard form that it doesn't really need much else (maybe I'm a bit biased???) Thought about selling mine about a year and half ago (and if you look at current values maybe that would have been the right thing to do!), but in the end decided to put the money I would have added to the sale price for another car and use it to fit a turbo. Best decision ever, love it. Still love the reaction it gets from people. The MOT tester complemented me today on how its as clean underneath as it is on top, even thought I'd fitted a new petrol tank! Chufties here I come :D
  19. IIRC the fuse box is just hung on two plastic pegs at the top and one screw in the bottom left corner.... Can have a look tomorrow at Stealth if you like, as I've already said in the RR thread, I'll come prepared.
  20. Mmmmm hydrocarbon. Just PM'ed you James. Please don't drive it with fuelling like that, you'll break it. Put the standard injectors back in for now and drive off boost. Excellent work!!! As always, your much too quick at getting things done and I'm way too slow :)
  21. Bet thats the best 50 pence you've ever spent Rob! Sounds like your pretty chuffed with it. When you start thinking its a bit slow, best drive around in the Polo for a bit, then get back in the C. You soon get used to the extra power! See ya Sunday :)
  22. Anchor and parachute should do the trick :)
  23. They sure do! Next on the cards is some 263 cams i reckon  Would defo get the cams :) Get some water injection on it first. It's OK now with the winter cool air, but when it gets warmer the intake temps will be off the chart. Keep it 8)
  24. Nice facility lads! Think you might have the likes of Stealth and G-Werks worried. Not so sure about the cheap help, looks more like a leisure centre :)
  25. Did the VR ones last Nov, as they sprung a rather large leak. Think they were about £8 each from my local dealer. I noticed quite a bit of oil on the floor after you left the AGM, but thought NAH that won't be your Golf
