    Bonnet Problems

No worries! Yes It is a late bonnet. It bulges out in the middle instead of in.

    Bonnet Problems

Hello folks, Basically got a new bonnet for my C (95 2L 16V), due to big dent and crumple in the old one. Before fitting I noticed the replacement bonnet had sponges on the outer edges, where as my old one did not. However my quarter panels do have rubber things on them to line the bonnet. Am I right in thinking I only need one lot of these either on the bonnet or the quarter panels? Also after fitting the bonnet I find the bonnet pins need adjusting as bonnet sits slightly too high at the front (is being pushed up by the bonnet pins). Only problem is I cannot seem to adjust the pins. I can undo the big nut (flat on the bonnet), but that really does nothing, I can see the actual pin has a flat section towards the end and is threaded, but I cannot seem to turn it all! Is there an easy way to remove or adjust the bonnet pins?
  3. Thanks all. Was worried for a minute that something was wrong! :D
  4. Here is a pic, not very clear I'm afraid
  5. Hello again I have just replaced the bonnet on my N reg 16v (Don't ask why long story!!!) I have fitted another late spec bonnet, however I have noticed the bonnet catch is different (which is not a problem). However the prob is the bonnet is too high on one side (it is being pushed up by the spring on the corner catch). I have tried to adjust this but it is stuck solid, is there any way to remove this and then make the adjustment.
  6. No idea, seems a bit big for a abs sensor bracket. it does feel plasctic though.
  7. Hi Folks, I have recently purchased a Corrado 16V, it is 95 on an N plate. Whilst taking a cloer look at her I noticed something strange (well to me anyway!). Whilst looking through the drivers alloy, above the brake disk just behind is a strange horse shoe shaped component (several inches wide and very obvious), what is this?? All help appreciated.
