Yip carriers and calipers from either a VR or a G60 and then get some 280mm 4 stud discs and pads and you in business.. The carriers and calipers pop up on here regularly second hand..

Brake wise you can upgrade to the 280mm set up found on a G60 or a VR with 4 stud discs...

Put a link on E38 as someone my know on there..

Id try a rubber or leather mallet and try and caliper to slide off the disc and see where you go from there..

That looks like a decent car, good spec and obvioulsy if you want a left hooker then could be ideal.. Im sure there are some guys on here who are from Poole who would maybe cast an eye on the car and give you an idea of what is up. Carlisle isnt the middle of nowhere.. Im only about 50 miles away to the east...

Where abouts is the car? Its a hard one to answer, what happens when the current owners turns the key? Is the starter turning, or only occasionally? Id say your wise to take a battery or some method of jump starting as chances are the battery is going to be flat. ECU wise if there are any faults with that best plan is to get Vagcom on it and see if it returns any faults. A number of guys on here have the softwere hence the reason for asking where the car is as it may be handy if someone could meet up with you when you go to check it out..

I know a few guys who have Weitec coilies who will vouch for their quality, why not give Gwerks a ring as they supply weitec gear and can probably tell you what you need to know..

Early ones the indicators have a screw in one of the top corners. On late the indicators are spring loaded into a surround mounted on the fog light..

If your fogs and indicators are screwed in then you have an early bumper and therefore the narrower wings

I suppose a good place to start would be to put up some pics of the damage and see if anyone would want to repair.. I can imagine youll end up with a load of people saying first dibs on this that and the other if you break so i may as well stake a claim.. Id be interested in Corrado and Storm badges from the rear, your gear stick surround containing badge and the carpet for starters id imagine there would be more stuff id take... Your engine is worth about 500 quid, your seats and door cards probably about 700 quid, all front lighting is worth reasonable money...

I know there used to be a 14 day 'grace' period but wouldnt know if that is the case.. Personally id rather not risk it, i dont like having to pay 200 quid a year as it is without getting fined and making it even more expensive...

I havent used the wax but cant recommend elite car care enough, brilliant service and knowledge...
