I do like german plates with the D band on them, i think the ones iwth the stickers in the middle are a bit over the top and id imagine getting stopped was very likely with them.. I do like them with just the lettering style without the D band also, personal taste...

Id say 99% of the cars that will be on the forum stand are work in progress, we all have a list of things wed like to do and there will inevitably be other things that pop up along the way.. Ive never been to a show where anyone has looked down at anyones car, that really isnt what these things are about, they are about the banter and picking other peoples brains and sharing ideas and probably getting hammered aswell...

I know this isnt really gonna help but thats completely down to you. If you buy a car that is standard then its a blank canvass and any work you do you can account for and its personal to you. If you buy modded then its someone elses thing, i wouldnt count lowering in this because a lowered car is the same as the next lowered car, but if you buy a car that has had the full treatment then it may be associated to that persons name, eg, Jay Renshaws corrado, which he sold 2 years ago is still referred to as his...

Up until now ive used AG UDS followed by autosmart wax and am happy with e results but, like Karl, will be giving to dodo juice a go, im on the look out for some new polish soon but am still unsure...

Have a look in the boot and across the rear panel there will be a sticker which will have the paint code on it, usually something like LC6P..

Other than what dinkus has suggested and stripping your car out there isnt really anything you can do.. Mods such as induction kits arent gonna do anything on their own apart from make your car sound pretty....

Im at the Schrick + Cams + Enlarged TB + BMC stage and the car is so much more drivable (and vocal).. Im certainly not ruling out chargers or maybe engine conversions in the future and at the end of the day im not likely to have lost much money on the goodies that are under the bonnet at the moment.. My petrol consumption is similar to before TBH...
