  1. Ta very much, the tow bar is bolted on, Martin had a look as hes expressed an interest in it for future use...
  2. Incidently the guy with the microphone was asking me if my name was Mark and i was telling him it wasnt.. Was such a good feeling to drive up there although i was gutted the car was so dusty.. You got any more pics Darren and are there any 'official' ones on the streets yet?
  3. Aye sounds like a plan, ill be in touch over the next few days to sort that out, we need to get to Martins, how does Sunday grab you?? Cheers Karl, ill try my best to leave it alone, there are no plans, i think you know whats gonna keep me busy in th near future.. :) Nice one Dan, you seem determined to buy every VW.. :) Mini meet next week, itll be there..
  4. Appreciated the help Graham, i bet the guy who im getting it from was thinking id brought an army of helpers, the more eyes the better TBH.. Cheers Yan, im looking forward to getting the keys, itll be getting the full engine bay, underneath, wheel, interior and panel treatment that the Rado does so i can see exactly what its like, i do reakon itll polish up well. I know there are a few spots of light rust but im not too worried about those at the moment..
  5. It hasnt got rainbow seats, not sure about the folder, ill post some pics of the interior up and let you know when i get it on saturday.. Id quite like some of the smoked rear lights, the orange ones dont look too crash hot.. If you have a screen and its cheap id be interested, spoke to Dan last night and he reckons its straight forward, new seal is 15 quid.. Pm me some prices for it and the lights for collection and ill let you know.... As for a VR, i know im silly, could be a good time to find out just how silly..
  6. If you can get two that would be sweet, shame there wasnt one in the Rado at the weekend, she came runner up in the Corrado class so would have been good advertising... If the wheel is rare you do realise ill end up keeping it, keen to see some photos..
  7. You may be cheeky, with 6 months Tax and full 12 months MOT she was a grand.. Whats the interior, piccies??
  8. Gonna be looking cool decked on those rims Rob, i like...
  9. Thats the wheel in question Steve, it is solid, there is a slight bit of rust above the windscreen but nowt rediculous, the tailgate suprisingly is fine and the underneath and engine bay areas look decent..
  10. Exactly Jon, i really dont wanto use the Rado during the winter as it just undoes all the work ive put it, its going to make it feel that bit more special when she comes out of the garage next April..
  11. I was waiting for that Andy, honestly i have some massive plans for the Corrado in the new year so there arent any for the Golf, the wheels arent pleasent though, some tinted light, decked, VR etc would be nice... :)
  12. Well after a little spell of looking around heres the one i went for, it came up at E38 and ill be collecting it on Saturday.. Shes an F plate, oak green , 3 door 16 valve GTI with PAS and electric windows, the car is standard apart from a steering wheel which apparently dates from the time of manufacture, ill post a pic up when i get it, personally i think its horrible but some say to the right person it may be worth something. She also comes with a shed load of history, only draw backs are a couple of little oil leaks, a cracked windscreen and the MFA doesnt work, tbh nothing too unsavoury.. Just like to say big thanks to the guys with MK2 knowledge who had a good look around (Martin and Gav)... Anyway, photos - tow bar will be going straight away..
  13. I know when people talk of lottery wins the words Ferrari, Aston etc get mentioned. For me a G60 limited would be on the list..
  14. When you remove bumper and all front lighting you see the full slam panel, it does include the strip under the headlights.. Dimmensionaly they are the same but the shape above the lights is slightly different, ie to acoomodate the different bonnet props although ive got an early bonnet prop on my late slam panel. I think either would fit but to keep it authentic you might as well go with the one that is for your age of car...
  15. I doubt they will drop into the car but anything will fit if you have the skill and the patience, and sometimes the money...
  16. Its cause you two keep winning all the prizes :) Its not that ive fallen out of love with the car Judith, theres just other thing out there id love to have and i cant have them all together. Plan is im gonna wait until i can afford, and have somewhere to put them and then i will...
  17. Cheers Andy, no danger of it being a Turbo, itll either end up with a charger or VR6 evicted to make way for an R32. All in good time though...
  18. Quite simply a brilliant car, for those of you who think mine is in good nick, you should have a look at this....
  19. I may be on the verge of buying a GTI 16v so that the Corrado feels extra sepcial when she comes out to play..
  20. Dont raise it unless you really have to, they look and drive so much better when they are low.. What suspension have you got on it??
  21. Car looking nice as ever Andy, decat sounds good i may have to aquire one of them...
  22. Nope, the early ones dont have ths urrounds attached to them to accomodate your indicators....
  23. Goldie

    Which wheels?

If you match the springs to some suitable dampers or get coilovers then the ride will be better as you have a better set up.. 17s fit straight on, depending on amount lowered, offsets of wheels etc then you could end up rubbing and may have to roll you arches. Im only on 15s so im not really in the know...
  24. Aye thats the place where i got mine and all my other cleaning bits, cant recommmend these guys enough...
