  1. Thankyou for the praise but remember some of the finish in the pictures are due to the lighting (which was quite yellow) and the quality of the camera... There was an Aubergine Rallye parked behind mine and that looked immense in the light, dark cars just seem to have so much more depth in the shine..
  2. Found these pictures on Vortex.. Obviously someone is a better photographer than me... Im moving house in a few weeks and the car is going to have a lovely big new garage to live in very soon, im very excited....
  3. Bargain, i would have had them although they aren't any use they would look good in my parts collection..

On this topic if i wanted to completely overhaul the sunroof what would i need? Part numbers and prices would be great...
  5. 2nd dibs... unlikely...
  6. Ok, ill take the heater surround. Im assuming the oil filetr housing is free from damage, is it the upper and lower parts? IF so ill take that as well please.. PM me your details...
  7. Can i get a close up picture of the heater control surround panel please?
  8. This was the first car is saw when i looked out the hotel room at UD.. Looks tidy indeed.. I cant quite make my mind up on the rims but each to their own ...
  9. I could well be interested in the leather and door pulls (both sides) subject to condition and what the original poster is after...
  10. It did look almost out of place with some very blingy cars around it.. It is far from standard and it looked like it was which in a way is the whole idea.
  11. Cheers Andy, i won Runner up Other VW... Its the blue cube in the wheel picture...
  12. Yes mate... I am a very lucky boy...
  13. Thanks very much, i was very hoping and was booked into to come to Elsecar but work has spoken...
  14. Ed1 looks lovely. I absolutely adore them and have come close to buying one on a couple of occasions...
  15. Here are a few pictures of the car at UD at the weekend.. Great weekend, long journey though from Glasgow and snow in both directions not ideal. Ended up doing about 6 hours of cleaning on arrival, mad when the car was spotless at the beginning of the journey... Car washing facilities left a bit to be desired, some hot water would have been nice!! Anyway, so here it is taking shape.. And the finished article.. Lady at the Shell said she was sick of the sight of VWs... Wheels off for cleaning and arch tickling.. Have spent another 6 hours today getting it all nice again..
  16. Thanks for the compliments people.. Dashboard - i use Poorboys natural look cleaner, very handy for engine plastics as well.. Ex forum car - yes, it is indeed Gareths old motor.. Steve, is a shame there isnt a Corrado specific catagory although i suppose it depends on how many are there. They did have a Classic Scirocco class so you never know things could change. Im assuming that the back hall is for previous winners, that is toss that you werent in there last year if you rightfully should have been. UD08 was one of the last shows i got to in my old one, cant believe that is 5 years ago.... It is a good show, i like the cleaning done exhibitors only saturday making way for a relaxing day sunday.. Car washing facilities are poor and i thought they might have put pictures of the winning cars on the two massive TVs they had in front of the stage so people knew who was what...
  17. Having just got home i thought id share my opinions... Some awesome cars and i mean to an unreal standard, mainly Mk2s doing it for me and very nice to see so many Rallyes in one place.. Yes a lot of stuff that is too over the top for my liking and i have a feeling that no matter how much you may like it but air ride is here to stay. Delighted to have taken home a trophy, best runner up other VW, no Corrado class this time. I am sorry to hear about Macdaddys car on the way down. Shame not to see other Corrados there although i don't feel they are that fashionable in an Ultimate Dubs environment which makes the trophy that bit sweeter...
  18. I think they are indeed, he sold the interior on to a guy called Marcus on here and then had some orangeish Recaros.... No wheel joy yet mate...
  19. Blue VR6 Turbo? I believe it isnt one piece any more as it was sold in parts.. The owners name was Sukh and the car was a masterpiece..
  20. Great car. I remember seeing it when James first got it almost standard and then seeing it early in its turbo days. Definitely built by one of the most knowledgeable chaps on here.
  21. Big thanks to lillfuzzer for sorting me out with some alarm hole less a pillar trims which i fitted a couple of days ago. After purchasing the most over priced piece of round paper (tax disc) and as the weather has been so good i thought it as good a time as any to take it for a spin.. I enjoyed every single mile, although i havent got the cams in yet the remap has sharpened things up very nicely. These cars just feel so right, like a worn in pair of slippers.. Really wanted to make sure everything was ok as there is a big drive early Saturday to Ultimate Dubs.. Hope to see some familiar faces and cars there...
  22. What about the Eastcoasters, should we not be looking at somewhere in the middle?
  23. Ill get thinking mate. Venue and date idea suggestions welcome.
  24. Wouldnt have a clue..Suppose we could see who was keen and pick something that suits the majority..
