  1. Little update from me... I have spent hours both at the VW dealer sourcing bolts, bits and bobs and under the bonnet, well once i could get it open again!! New Bonnet cable in, not actually a bad job really. CrazyDave reamapped ECU fitted. Under bonnet Fuel lines replaced, all new clips, brackets. I hate those spring clips!! Lots of engine loom rewrapping. Bonnet foam completely removed (delighted with metal work underneath) - new foam to go on, OE i think and ill sell on the group buy one. Collecting a load more bits later this week to smarten things up a bit more. Its quite a frustrating car as i have done loads and i stand back and it looks no different!! Over the moon to have found one of these new...

    Waxing wheels

In think its the poorboys one I have (bright pink). Easy to use and wheels clean easily although they don't really get that dirty so hard to know.
  16. Sounds like an absolute nightmare.. What would you like them to do at this stage apart from admit responsibility? In thier eyes as they have covered the cost of the repair they probably want to leave it. Are you wanting to have another cam belt fitted at their expense?
  17. Apologies for going quiet.. Ill pass on the bits, all yours mate..
  18. Worth getting your hands on a piston wind in tool as well as the rear calliper pistons dont just push in.. You can get a laser line one from halfords.. Id also personally recommend replacing all the bolts you have to touch..

  20. This is something i'm looking into as well.. Nakamichi, still available new from the States, sound and looks great, some questions over long term reliability and no iPod/USB connection.. Im looking for an OE look, has to be green illumination standard or an option. I want very good sound quality. USB/ipod connection on the rear to run a cable to the glove box and with other connection for future sound system development.. Not asking much but im keen for any suggestions as to where to start..
  21. Which gasket is that? Is it and the thermostat housing genuine?
