I'd like to know whether I should be jacking the car up at the blue arrow or the purple arrow? This is with a trolley jack, I've usually used the seams but obviously they are likely to bend over time. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

So to lift where the indent is on the sill. I don't lift on the seam joins (where the sill joins) I lift in front of that? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Think my front wheel bearing is on the way out as I'm getting a hum around 50mph. Is it worth doing both sides at the same time? Anyway since you can't get any from vw anymore what recommended? Skf ones seem expensive what brand are people using? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

The motors end up seizing over time. Try getting hold of a 2nd hand compete mechanism and replace it. I had the same problem as you. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Can you not measure what size tube it is and get some from halfords? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Yeah mine started not coming down intermittently then it stuck solid in the up position. So got a second hand complete mechanism and drilled out the old one and put the new one in. Sounds easier than what it was, thing to note is remember which way the mechanism comes out as it only goes in one way. There's a how to on the internet somewhere. The motor is on the mechanism behind the front door card. Yep drill all rivets out and replace. You can only get 2nd hand replacements. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

I always do the oil as well so engine is usually hot when I do it. But thought it wouldn't make any difference if just plugs Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

If your just doing plugs I'd say cold otherwise your going to be burning yourself on the manifold. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

The company who were doing the carbon remakes have gone out of business so I've heard LWS design I think was the company. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

I've tried both only real benefit is in the summer when temps will go down faster after being stuck in traffic. With mine being a daily I run the 3 slat open one. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
