  1. Probably needed to run it too low for my liking. Good thing is there local and I know the guy so if ever change my mind its an option.
  2. I'll keep an eye out and see but in the mean time get the coils on and space out std wheels.
  3. I know but you know that feeling when something just doesn't gel, well that's what it was like. Don't know what it was but as soon as I put them on the car I knew I wouldn't keep them long. I think they need to be 17's for the Corrado, the 16in version just looked a tad small and I think car colour is also something, they look good on light coloured cars. Goldies is spot on. Im actually struggling to think of something else as I do really like it on the stds.
  4. Soooo, Nothelle's have been sold on. I had a local guy come round and wanted them so I just sold them as I wasn't 100% convinced on them. Car is currently up on axle stands waiting on the coilovers but it will give me a chance to get the new rear brakes on. Luckily the carrier bolts were easy to break out so no issues there.
  5. Ive actually done that on a car, dropped the actual spring loaded arm and it cracked the screen.
  6. Ah right, that's where our guys have been working. Nice place they said. Good luck with the resto.
  7. Looks nice, where in Israel? Ive been coordinating a job out there recently.
  8. Nice, how does this compare to the old Gemini kit that was going around?
  9. Are they not 8.5in wide + you'll need adaptors I think. Whats the spec on them.
  10. Managed to get the offending rear disc of tonight and the inside is gubbed pretty much same as the fronts were so all new discs and bearings for the back......lack of use again by previous owners is to blame IMO. Just shows these things need to be used.
  11. Ordered some AP Coilovers so if anyone is interested in the Koni/H&R springs I'll be selling them on.
  12. So bought these last week and fitted them at the weekend. There 5x100 so straight bolt on. Needed 10mm front spacers and rears need to come out to suit. Its also highlighted that I need coilovers and tyres are not quite the right size. Looks like rear wheel bearing is going as well so may as well do rear discs etc as well. It was a gamble and im not 100% sure on them if Im honest. Don't know if its the colour of them against the car. Maybe just a drop will help as the other photo attached are the same spec wheels.
  13. What you doing about rods, lowering compression and inlet manifold?
  14. Nice, if my engine goes I reckon I'll think about a 24v turbo.
  15. Anyone used Vogtland coilovers? Fancy trying something different. Was looking at AP's as per last car but these seem to get good reviews on ride qualify from some online reviews.
  16. Thats the way its going I think. No high priced ones are selling but a lot of the tat has hopefully gone so low end has risen. I still maintain there not 5 figures worth unless there is something very special under the bonnet but even then I think back to what I paid for the turbo and what it sold for and it still doesn't sit right with me. Even if this one had been in good condition I still don't think £10k+. Cars do not like sitting around even in a Carcoon. Ultra low mileage is fine if your not going to add to it so therefore its will just sit, why pay that much for something that just sits around. There is better investments in he car world to be made IMO.
  17. Sorry should have updated. Im waiting on a few things happening with the house but if that goes well its staying. Should know in the next week or so.
  18. Use Plusgas for that soaking stuff, its the best thing by a mile. WD is like cats wee compared to it.

    Bmc cda

To be honest Ive had all i.e. open cone, BMC, std then std box with trumpet removed and the std with trumpet removed gives a very similar sound to the BMC......and costs £0. It also looks better so save your pennies IMO.
  20. Its when I see things like that site that reminds me Im bloody lucky to have the Corrado and the RS4.
  21. Anybody had any luck with other makes?
