  1. :bigsmurf: don't drink too much ya'll.
  2. don't know the 1st thing about the vr but I have used a scantool on two seperate vag vehicles in recent weeks and it really helped. takes the guess work out of it. Someone local should be able to help you out i'd of thought?!??
  3. Will your model store fault codes?
  4. do valvers give oil temp readings on their mfa's? Just as its another indication if the engine is running cool/hot or whatever.
  5. maybe the map sensor not responding to sudden throttle openings when pulling off at junction? checking with another ecu setup should rule that out I guess?!! what are your plugs like? knowing you I guess you would have checked the 100 cm vac hose?!!!
  6. aahhh.. zed and gooney,it looks like love... :)
  7. Hmm you have a good point there, mine's lowered as well... I'll see if it fits tomorrow and take it back if it doesn't. Which one do you recommend, just a standard scissor/screw jack? Not sure I can stretch to a trolley jack... they're a good investment if you plan to start doing stuff on your car. Might be worth the pain of the initial outlay....
  8. ^^^ brilliantly said. Those mph targets times are where most of us spend our time driving(a and looking for speed cameras). I for one want something that is responsive in those mph ranges. I think thats whats going to bring the most pleasure.
  9. could you imagine how many "my pop up/swivel or whatever the 4uck lights don't work" threads on here there would be if that had come to be?!??? Common sense prevailed. :)
  10. there's someone waiting for you at the door with your hat too.
  11. lol you'd think so wouldn't you.. I recently fixed a few on going mechanical niggles, and now all of a sudden my passenger door won't open from the outside. wtf?!!! I'd just like at least a couple of months where nothing went wrong. :? Seems like it is to much to ask. :(
  12. gg7aph . Its just wrong mate. Sort yourself out and pay the man his money.
  13. take the g60 sender with you when you order the audi sensor from the dealer so you can see if the threads are the same size b4 u buy. If you want to buy an audi sender to put in your g60 thats your business. Can't see why they would be reluctant to sell?!! Anyway.. You need the correct sender for the guage.
  14. Not sure you will get significant power increase without going FI 2 b honest?!!
  15. i would like to echo what he said /\ If they can show no paperwork that it has been re-furbed then use it as a bartering aid. you know.. "we'll i'm gonna have to pay for charger to be re-service blah blah blah so .." good luck. :)
  16. Must admit. I thought you were talking about the kind of beating that involved a little pot, a private room at a clinic and a copy of house wives monthly  £20 a time was sounding pretty good to me. I was already pricing up what I could get a week. lol ....chuckle

    Clutch Problems

Had exactly the same prob, got pretty tricky for hill stops/starts when you were continually lifting the clutch back up with your toes. Not good. Mine was the slave by the way. Its the cheaper of the two i believe?!!
  18. is that all the sti's put out,215?
  19. you've deleted you isv rite? But you have to open the throttle b4 it will fire.?! Seems like the system misses the extra air via the isv,or your getting too much fuel in for some reason and so you are having to over compensate with the throttle. Since you got it re-running are the plugs still going black? all the usual stuff ok,i.e coolant sender and MAP sensor hose?
