  1. Been a while since I updated, haven't had much time to work on the car, but it's making good progress. Just a few small jobs outstanding (still haven't given the ECU all it needs to be happy), but it's otherwise spot on! Bit disappointed about the lack of induction noise through the CDA, but wondering if it's the ecu chopping back on the torque and not opening the throttle butterfly completely. Sound is a bit quiet, need to turn up the volume to hear it better :)
  2. Still need this wing!
  3. Kev, first of all really sad you're no longer part of the crowd. What did you go with for the fun factor in the end? The coil packs, will they work with my mk5 BUB engine? I have a few that have been hit worst with water ingress and really think these might not last.
  4. I never spot any in norwich mate! How you managing it!?
  5. Mine says 99.8.... Just kidding its down to not receiving anything from the ecu. Certain sensor values (and I'm not sure which) would go to the clocks and be turned into an mpg. Unless it's discovered what values and then dragged out of the can bus and put through a converter, I doubt it's possible. Failing that the clocks from the donor would do it!
  6. At the moment it's sat on wooden blocks but it's right next to a crane and an empty pallet so I can get it on the pallet for you! Just let me know how you want me to arrange it. Cheers
  7. price dropped to 150, need this gone!
  8. How about a quick sound check of the 3.2 :)
  9. As per the initial post but seeing as you missed it "This will include intake manifold, coilpack, spark plugs (plenty of life left), ht leads (nearly new), injectors (ultrasonically cleaned) and rail" ---------- Post added at 4:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 4:09 PM ---------- It's a vr6 from a corrado so obd 1
  10. It is indeed. Includes two extensions to fit different systems. £45 posted fair? ---------- Post added at 12:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:09 PM ---------- I'll sort that for you now, thanks ---------- Post added at 12:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:09 PM ---------- Ok chaps, photos for you both. ---------- Post added at 12:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:23 PM ----------
  11. I think i did the major stuff about 3 months before it went off the road. A good service would be ideal before its fitted though, I wouldn't fit any used engine without at least an oil change and check the plugs? Plugs aren't too old iirc but ill check the receipts.
  12. Very old thread bump! I still have this in my garage and really need the space now. Any takers? Make me an offer!
  13. Right I'll definitely look into that. Not sure how reliable a 60 quid fpr will be! I keep worrying about keeping it backwards compatible so may leave the return line in place. I'll have a look at that ignition feed later today. It easy to just chop into?
  14. Why didn't I think of that. Did you haul out the return line then? You replaced the main fuel line?
  15. Good idea kev, I'll give that a try. Sounds the easiest!
  16. Yes for god sake don't accept mixed parts for a conversion. I learned the hard way! The rev counter isn't a major ball ache in the mk5 setup. I have a mk5 and it just involved adding a convertor box with a 12v feed and a ground to the rpm signal line. The mk4 is just a direct link iirc, so no need for a convertor. It's the mk5 that has a single line fuel rail. I sorted this by using a rising rate fpr from eBay for £60! Hope this helps.
  17. I'll try again to get in touch with Mark, he's either very busy or not interested in helping me of late! Cheers anyway Kev
  18. Would that have a relevant pin from the fusebox kev? I haven't a clue what Mark has done with the loom when it comes to that! I could follow it from the fusebox and tap into it along the way?
