    Boot water leak

right, it looks like spoiler seals didn't like the silicone I gave them :( so I've used underseal instead :norty: I'll come back in a few days as it's going to rain all weekend ...
  3. I have two lupo wipers and had to bend the p/s one; still has no great contact though... I wouldn't pay for an uprated headlight loom. You can DIY for little money... just buy relays, fuses, wires and spend a couple of hours doing it correctly ;)

    Boot water leak

I found that the p/s spoiler seal was bended and so allowing water in. The wires of the fog and back-gear lights were rusted due to contact with water. It took me 2 hrs to remove the seal as one of the nuts had been rounded  so I had to drill it out, replace, and seal the seal with silicone :norty: I checked tail lights + plate number surround + badge holes for leaks and found they were OK. I'll continue with the investigation this afternoon. thank you all for the ideas

    Boot water leak

hey, thanks for these quick replies :D I had the badge holes leak some time ago, but since I shaved them, that's been fixed. Tail lights aren't leaking as I also had this problem before  and sealed them propperly I'll have a look at the spoiler seals I'm also thinking about roof stripes draining pipes maybe? Or rear side "windows" leaking maybe?

    Boot water leak

Hi there, I don't know if it's the corret place for this thread... I've found that, under rain or car-washing, the boot ends up like a swimming pool :gag: I don't know where it's coming from but I thought that maybe you could tell me the "usual" seals/etc that usually fail? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. fitted bonnet windscreen washer jets pipes' clips. I had these held in place by zip ties, and got the clips out of a spare bonnet :D
  9. I did an OEM aircon install in a friend's corrado G60 and had the same problem as you. but as this forum sucks, then, go find the answer yourself
  10. re-soldered one contact of the window control module. finished the retrim of the back seat (after 1 year and a half ago, when I started :D). I left a screwdriver under the back seat, as a mistake. it'll stay there for a long time  . well, I have an emergency screwdriver hidden in the car now :norty: replaced rear p/s door card plastic clips
  11. fixed. re-soldered a pin and it's working now. !!
  12. hey, I've the same problem in my car. I can hear the module clicking, but there's no juice on the window motor terminals. did you fix it? what was the problem? thanks!!!!
  13. - power windows (but the car self-fixed it  ) - seat lever
  14. Hi there, I passed MOT today 8) :norty: but on my way back to work I couldn't roll the windows up. However, I could hear the central locking/power window module clicking when I actuated on the window switches; and the central locking was working OK (but didn't roll the windows UP if I kept the key in locking position). I inspected the central_locking+power_windows fuse and it was not blown. I removed d/s door card and found 0.00v on the window motor when I pushed the window switch, but I could still hear the CL Module clicking. I removed the p/s door card and the same happened. So, as I had to go to work at a customer's office, I used a +12v wire fed from the battery in order to roll (first) the d/s window up, which worked without any problems. Then, I moved to the p/s and, just to try, pushed the switch and the magically the p/s window rolled up... so then I moved to the d/s and both of the switches worked as well    Any thoughts? how should I test the window module the next time it happens??? because, provided that I have a corrado, it WILL happen again... probably under rain or hurricane or whatever... or both!! by the way, I've parked the car in my customer's parking with: -p/s and d/s without door cards on -4 wheels (which I had to change for MOT) on the back seat -in.pro angel eyes in p/s foot rest -both doors switches and handles on the p/s seat -glove box on p/s seat -etc...... it looks like I work in a scrap yard, or that I've stolen the car :norty: :norty: :norty: :brickwall: EDIT: it's happened again. I've parked the car in my customer office with the windows half up :? if I push the switches I can hear the CLICK CLICK of the window control module... but the glasses don't roll up/down. if I connect a +12v wire and a ground to the motors, I can roll them up/down. is there any way I can check the control module? or, may someone, please, tell me which output should I expect (using a multimeter) at the WCM terminals, if I push the switches??? A wiring diagram or whatever would be useful. I'm goint on a trip tomorrow night by car :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: thanks!
  15. not that hard as long as you remember the location of all plugs you pull out.. then just pull back into the new FB. I'd check the air intake grill for water leaks while you're there...
  16. I finally installed these rollers yesterday, and they fit as they should and do the job incredibly OK. I recommend them to everyone as VW ones are discontinued so if you plan to keep your car for a long time, this is a MUST!
  17. I'll get one of these myself one day.. :luvlove:
  18. -sticked some velcros to keep p/s floormatt in place -replaced p/s window rollers (d/s will be done next week) -did a central locking DIY by placing switches in door shelves 8) pics to follow
  19. I prefer not thinking about it :brickwall: but well, i've spent about 20.000 in 3 years of ownership which makes about 500 a month :gag: excluding the 300 in petrol per month
  20. :norty: :norty: :norty: :norty: :norty: :norty: :norty: :norty: :norty: 8)
