  1.  btw I'm tinting fronts today anyway, but I'd like to do the two roller mechanisms as well so any thoughts / ideas are wellcome :)
  2. I would like to have two scrollable glasses in each door (only for fronts). I don't know in UK, but in Spain it's illegal to get fronts tinted so I would like to get one tinted glass and one non-tinted do incase I see police, then I'll lower the tinted glass and leave the non-tinted up :D The problem comes when it rains, that I can't roll the windows down in front of the police
  3. having two glasses will allow having one of them black tinted and being able to roll it down when police is near  I've had fronts tinted for 2 years and I had to remove the tints as I was pulled over just too many times :? and the last time they said they'd keep an eye on me :norty:
  4. There are a couple of tabs to be decapitated. Then use zip ties, they were designed for corrado repairing
  5. ...in the door, next to the existing one? I mean, could 2 glasses be placed in the door with two lifting mechanisms, one for each glass? p.d. not a corrado oem one as it's huge, but maybe another car's...
  6. hi, my corrado always has something wrong with it. well it's a corrado. :censored: whith stone cold engine, if I accelerate, I can hear a CROROROROOROROR noise coming from the head. I know it would be very difficult to explain a "noise", but, any thoughts? I'm doing the rocker cover gasket soon so.. what should I look for? thanks!
  7. the switch is on the tb itself, in the face that looks towards the radiator I would also try disconnecting the 5th injector electrical connector, and if the problem's still there, I'd take it out when the car is hot and look for any leaking issues
  8. what about the microswitch? did you find it?
  9. I could not be covered because of having not-ET35-wheels(which were oe ones) in Spain. Spain is a real crap. so the problem is the same :(
  10. WEll, I really can pay for this, but I don't like paying 600 or more for this, as I may go back to std width rims one day.. and they will look crap then with pulled arches :?
  11. why not? A good machine shop will be able to do it correctly  I'll find out if wheel nuts will be OK, and clearance between wheel and damper
  12. the comment about samcos was only a joke  I didn't say that it handles better with 9J than 6.5 or whatever, I just said that it handles very good. I put 9J obviously as it looks better in my opinion, but I want them to be in the fenders and as I said before, there aren't any brock b1's 9J with ET25 offset... and no probs about your comments, but you made me feel a bit as if I had a car full of vinyl flames and other style-points-parts   and well obviously I don't have it that way!!
  13. quick one, have you tried to pull the accelerator pedal towards you? This may look a bit of nonesense but my car used to have this issue and that was (one of) the faults. does the isv microswitch (located in the TB) get in contact with the throttle body when it's closed? If not, try to untighten the accelerator cable; if still not, try to adjust the switch's mount so that it gets in contact with the throttle body. You'll understand this when you see the switch. Hope it helps
  14. it would be really funny to take someone's corrado to this mechanic's garage and pay him an hour labour to do the heater matrix; oh and leave a spy cam (like those that some members own) in the car, then enjoy! this makes me remember when a friend of mine once said (well this friend ALWAYS has EVERYTHING better than you. if you buy a nokia in example, N90, then he says that he owns an N91 no matter if this model exists or not!). well, he once told me (when he saw me with my corrado) that a friend of his ( ) had a Corrado German Special Edition with some 345's tyres and 350HP, V8 engine... and that all these came OEM    The best you can do, is to make their lies grow, grow grow grow... the more they grow, the funnier it becomes :norty:
  15.      I like brock b1's in 9J for rears, but I think ET15 is too much. And as they don't exist in an ET25 then that's why I want to do this, in order to keep the wheels in the fenders  I'm not trying to achieve any scene points :camp: , however, looking at your member's gallery thread, are your red samcos (or whatever) red coloured due to being enthusiastic about the mechanical side of things ? And my car, thank god, handles really good  :camp: So, that being said, I think you shouldn't judge me for asking about rear hub shaving, as you don't know me enough to say that I have 9J wheels just for scene, etc... but it's a forum and anyone can give their opinion, isn't it?
  16. yep, had it in mind :) What I needed to know is if wheel nuts will bolt ok correctly if I shave about 0.5 - 1cm eeek! I dont know for certain the thickness of the rear discs but I would guesse they are roughly 8mm thick on the mating surfice (can anyone confirm?). If your hoping to take off at least 50mm you may run into issues. General rule for thread engagement is 1.5xD. well I think I may not have explained it correctly due to my English  What I would like to do, is to make the wheels sit closer to the center of the car: I mean, remove some material from the hub so that they fit in the arches. I thought about it as rear hub - disc are a sincle piece. But I don't want to resurface the discs -> only where the rim gets in contact with the hub. sorry I've been working for all day. My brain is on stand-by ATM

  18. pulling arches involves too much money :( I don't like pulled arches, so I would weld another arch in order to keep the OE look of it. and that's too much money :? well thanks for your reply
  19. What about "shaving" some material of the rear hubs (disk brakes) in order to keep 9J rims in the arches? Would that be a butcher's idea, or may it work? Please don't quote me on that
  20. I'll finally take the good way and keep the 16" wheels. thanks!
  21. I have two sets of Speedlines - one with 205s and one with 195s and I can't tell much difference between them. will the difference between 195(or 205) - 50 - 15 and 215 - 40 - 16 be VERY noticeable? I wouldn't like my corrado to look like this
  22. Hi there, I have a set of b1 brocks 7.5 - 9 x16 with 215 40 16 tyres. each 7.5J rim's weight is 10.5kg  , and don't know about 9J ones. I've recently bought a set of brock b1 8x15 and I'm not sure if I will be selling these, or may I better put some tyres on them? Will the weight differece make the car feel like it's more powerful? I remember that with sebrings, my car accelerates really faster than with 16" brocks... what tyres will fit better, 195 or 205 50 15? Any pics of anyone's car with these tyres on their rims? Will they look like poo, so, should I keep the 16" brocks?? I'm all messed up as you can see  oh, and, thanks for reading :camp:
