stolen from club corrado canada: The first thing you must do is remove the door panel then remove the lower clips that sit where the arrows with the 'c' under then are pointing. You will need to use an awl or something to push the centre pin out of these clips or you will fight and fight and get nowhere. I just pushed the pins right into the door shell and picked them out later. Once you have these clips out you can carefully pull the inner liner off of the door shell but make sure not to rip or damage the plastic liner or you will have water leaks. This is what is known as a wet door, water is supposed to leak in then drain out the bottom so check the drains and make sure they are clean. All you need to do now is to pull one of the big arms towards you and the arm will pop out of the roller. Now you can just roll the roller out the side and then clean the inside of the track. I put new grease in there and put it back together and snapped the arm into the new roller. Now do the same and you are ready to put the door back together. was this what you needed to know? if not, http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.p ... -%29/page2 hope it helps :salute:

so you can't get the white rollers in their place? shouldn't they get in by the end of the guide? sorry I can't understand
-
yes, but I meant... where are you finding difficulties? If you post a pic I can help you
-
what are you trying to do, exactly?

Hi there, my KR stalls when I switch A.C. on. I have raised the idle speed at about 1100rpm (with a.c. off) which falls down to about 900 with a.c. on. Yesterday was a HOT day (35ºC near Barcelona ) and my car kept stalling for a while when I got to a set of lights/speed bump etc... so I raised the idleing RPM a bit  What may cause this stalling?? Would it mean that my a.c. compressor is shot (it only cools when rpms are +2000, I mean that on idle it cools near nothing.. oh and with air recirculation on!), or may it need an oil change (the compressor) which was done about 3 years ago? or a regas? or should I throw the car in the bin :censored: :censored: ? or only the compressor?

why can U operate only one window at a time? why do you have to pull up the door pin you have previously pulled down?
-
I'd solder a squared piece of metal, but make sure you use MIG/TIG or similar .... what about trading agency's insurance?

not a corrado.. head gasket question. edit with pistons!
krnau replied to krnau's topic in Engine Bay
btw I'm pulling out the block as there is something like sand at the bottom of the coolant flanges :| so then I'll take it to the machine shop with the heads 8) how funny it will be when I have everything reassembled and it doesn't start!! or, after starting, it blows a head gasket. :brickwall: -

so it looks like i'll have to clean it with the engine out of the car? :( -
hi there, I removed both probe's heads today and head gaskets look OK to me (no cracks, no missing sections)... but the car was burning coolant .... how can this be? heads with gaskets on oh and the block has crap in it, look at the top-right cylinder, just next to it, in the coolant section how can I clean this?I can take this crap out with a screwdriver but I'm scared of rebuilding the engine and crap blocking coolant flanges  edit: hey look at these pistons btw, there weren't any broken/damaged rings... so why would this engine have fuel in the oil?? I think I'm replacing only rings as pistons look ok
-
drained the oil today, and it smells like fuel  what may cause fuel-oil mixing?? oiil was brown btw climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfaceitegasofa.JPG[/attachment:2yfhc9h8] spark plug "holes" (with spark in place) show coolant. why? :| 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfrefrig-bujia.JPG[/attachment:2yfhc9h8] and this is how the engine is now

fiberglass will crack sooner or later. welded plastic will last forever if well done

As long as you don't tell us it's your gf bed....lol.....:) btw clarkson did a test: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6bD1aoXHkw And YES it does include a Corrado ;) nice video. however I find it harder to understand English in speech than in a text :( but I have (I think) understood that the corrado is better on cornering than the probe 8) and I have a corrado while she has a probe   but mine is a valver, and hers a V6 :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: well, the probe is technically mine as I've registered it under my name
-
well, I finally paid 280& for the probe 8) I've managed to make some room for the probe's storage in my bedroom (you can see the bed on the left :) ): DSCN6952.JPG[/attachment:2ji6oi2m] no! just kidding   it's my gf's garage :D tomorrow we're pulling both rocker covers out to see if there's anything wrong. I have pulled out ignition leads and I found coolant on them, and a little bit more of coolant on the spark plugs... but... aren't spark plugs supposed to lock hermetically the combustion chambers=?? how can coolant have escaped from the cylinders? (The seller said that one/both head gasket was gone and it was drinking water..). btw, with the engine on (looks to run really fine), there is white smoke going out of the exhaust; that's why we suspect about the head gasket(s)...
-
the seller didn't show up. we had to meet at 18h and I waited until 20h.... there are some lies and strange things in this business... and I think that he may try to steal the money from me, or my car, or both really... :( 8) he may think that anyone using the internet is a freak, and so we'll see if he has enough bollocks :salute:  I'm meeting him on friday, so there may be some action... 8)

OMFG!!!!!!!! what engine managemen are you running? EFI, etc..????

Corrado 20vT Project - update coming soon...

I hope it's only head gasket (s) I can't afford another full rebuild at the moment. the corrado is stealing 99,99999% of my money  ,.. so the probe will stay on a second place (I hope my gf doesn't read this!!). well she speaks only a little English so no probs 8)
-
I'm going to have a look at that car tmrw after work. I'll come back with news then. thanks!
-
hey, thank you all :D are these parts often on ebay? should I only need cams, or inlet manifold/etc as well? The seller says that the car is literally drinking coolant, and that the exhaust is really smokey so... :( how can I know which of the 2 heads is gone? SHould I take it to a garage or can I do something else?
-
when mine buzzed, if I pushed accelerator pedal +3000rpm it stopped
-
I had this on my car and it was a faulty oil pump. I had it some time later, and it was because of swapped press switches connectors I think I had it once more due to a faulty switch and then once more due to leaving a disconnected wire so as you see, it may be lots of things; but be careful, if you're really running the engine with low pressure..... :?
-
what power increase should I expect from them? I think that this 2.5 24v engine is somehow limited to only 160hp or at least, 160hp looks like poo power coming out of a 2500 24v engine, don't you think?
