  1. Nick, these are easy to fit. I think Jay's done a guide and the kit might even come with one.
  2. Mine has turned up and I'm very happy with it. Is now sporting the keys to the my unit & sits round the rear view in the Polo until the Corrado is back on the road. Good times.

  4. Just an idea guys... A friend of mine was recently shown a great way to transport headlinings by a auto-trimmer when he collected his freshly trimmed item. The trimmer loosely masking taped it to inside of the roof over the top of the existing headliner and then out the doors onto the roof. Perfect for transportation as it won't get damaged, bent or marked. I thought this was ingenious having transported a few of these myself and knowing how flimsy they are went bent over a back seat or in the boot etc. Hope that helps and perfect if being transported by a Corrado.

  11. I can back up what Jay says about WheelRefurbishing.co.uk aka BJV Engineering. Had numerous sets done over the years [have pics of all if required] and time after time they came out to the same excellent standard at very reasonable prices. They like cash ;) and both Andrew and Jack like a good Corrado also. Pristine Wheels are also very good, quality is very high however you pay for this in the cost of refurb. All extras are added on to price of refurb i.e. dent removal, welding, tyre removal/re-fit etc unlike BJV. Both do great work but offer slightly different services to the general public.

  15. Nah that's just the "miss-fire" that cause the loosing party to loose.
  16. Don't give in to the hacksaw or hammer approach. Think of this as letting the car win, which we don't do. EVER. In gear is a good shout, mole grips can also work but you'll need a fair bit of working room to get enough opposite force on each. My next suggestion was going to be put the hub nut back on tight, socket on a breaker bar and wedge this against the ground in the correct orientation to stop the driveshaft from turning further. This should give you enough force to undo the bolts however you'll probably going to the say the hub nut won't go back on the hub as it's slight out of shape...? Might be able to get a screw driver through disc somewhere also to lock the drive on that side... Keeping going, you'll get there.
  17. iPad for me is all about speed of access to information. Its perfect for the quick internet based task or note taking exercise or list creator etc... Quick google search to find an address or post code for a destinitation... BookFace just ping'd, let's have a quick browse and chat... I fancy having a quick blast around Vice City in a Cheetah whilst listening to MSX FM on GTA 3... Oooo PM on my favourite car forum, I'll just have a read. and so the list of uses goes on. I was hugely anti-iPad before "earning" one through work but now I'd be hard pushed to part with one just for the shear convenience factor they provide. I've also had the opportunity to get hands on with a fair few alternatives to the iPad whilst building mobile apps and from a pure usability point of view nothing comes even remotely close to the iOS on the iPad. Everything else is either too clunky, too confusing or just too PC based.
  18. You can clearly figure this out by removing the BMC and looking inside to see which way round the filter is. It'll become clear whether is right or wrong then and as mentioned you can remove the outer skin, maybe even give it a clean and then refit correctly.
  19. Worst comes to worst... Hub nut off. Undo all 6 driveshaft bolts at the gearbox end. Disconnect ABS wires etc.. Undo two hub bolts from sus. Undo the 3 bolts for bottom ball joint + steering rack bolt Pull whole hub + driveshaft out Put whole hub in vice. Start attacking driveshaft end with a punch in a suitable vice. Should come out then.
