.... Hmmm, are we saying saloons are better sports chassis'? I can't think of many ultra high performance cars that are saloons though; Ferrari, R8, Lotus, GT3s, they all have a hatchback configuration albeit with an engine under it rather than the boot? Interesting thread this... M.

Eh, under tray panels behind the splitter? Presumably they offer a bit of protection to the cross member, rad and a bit of the engine? I didn't even know such things existed! M.

If you can salvage the clips etc, I believe you can use a bicycle rear brake cable; possibly from a tandem to ensure you get enough length (you can always cut down the excess). Haven't tried it myself though so not sure if it's a straight swap...

Excellent Hasan, you're becoming a metal working legend! M.

I agree with Jim; car looks in great shape but just not feeling the black rims against the blue paint. ....your car though so I'll shut up now! M.

Lovely rims. Sadly have to resist though as the little 'un arrives in a couple of months and spending the best part of a grand on wheels might not go down too well.... They are worth it though! Anyway, stoppit! What's lined up next then bill - get the readers rides thread updated! M.

Not the best feedback though on that seller.... -
Do some googling on those lightened/underdrive engine pulleys. I came across some very concerning forum opinions from well known tuners regarding their affect in terms of engine harmonics and the damage they can do..... Obviously it's entirely your decision but worth being aware of potential problems before you spend your hard earned. Have a read through this. I realise it's for zimmers, but the principle remains the same..... http://www.atiracing.com/products/dampers/damper_dinan.htm M.

I like it; much cooler and more grown up than the previous incarnation. M.

Crikey seems sudden after all the effort you've put in, particularly recently. You HAVE to tell us what the new car is for us to have any chance of understanding the decision....!

Like that. .....how much does a full wrap cost if you don't have a brother to help you out?

Guys, you do realise it's the indicators being discussed here, not fogs.....? Late indicators are also plastic...
-
I think they are different; I've not actually had to fit early indicators I have to confess, but from what I've read they are fixed differently. I believe early ones have a face fix screw....(?)

Dealers won't supply parts via Classic Parts. Classic Parts is a private company as far as I'm aware and not part of VAG....

I think taking a leaf out of Gruven's book would be a good idea as their parts are desirable but difficult to get hold of in Europe; rad neck would be a good place to start... M. -

Rubbish post! Details and pics required Kiran; come on my man! -
Would you be interested in selling the carpet separately? If so, can you let me know a bit more about condition? Any stains, rips, burns or tears? I can collect on Sunday morning if that suits and we can come to an agreement on price depending on condition... Mark

I'm getting exactly the same problem as Henny and Aide using both my work machine running win 7 and Chrome and also on my Mac at home using safari.....

Yep, sounds like a MAF issue to me too.

I'm sure Emu is selling a set; send him a PM...

I've also been toying with the idea of moving the battery to the boot myself but not sure how best to tackle it. If you find any good guides I'd be interested to read more... M.
