  1. I've got a 42 Draft Designs one and not had any problems in the three or so years it's been on the car. Not even looked at since it was fitted actually so not sure why I bothered with the flashy brushed finish, lol. http://www.awesomegti.com/brand/42-draft-designs/42-draft-12v-vr6-ss-coolant-pipe-black M
  2. Fantastic work, this is definitely the sort of direction I'd like to take my car in... What was the problem with the wastegates? What type/brand were you using? Mark
  3. Following Mawrick's comments, I notice in your signature you have a superchip fitted; could this be playing up? Might be worth going back to standard just to rule it out... M.
  4. Could you G75 a VR6...? Certainly not seen that done before!
  5. If you can find someone with the kit, vapour blasting gearbox castings gives amazing results!
  6. If it's a daily, I'd be concentrating on the diesel out of those three...
  7. A strategically placed zip-tie will allay any fears of the grill dislodging at an inappropriate time...
  8. I don't think I've seen these particular protectors. You say they're made from flat sheet; how do they attach to the headlight? The ones I've seen are always moulded at the edges so that they wrap/clip onto the light...
  9. Quite; I can't see you being particularly popular with your neighbours if this became a part of your weekly cleaning regime!
  10. Laser tools do split rim specific impact sockets in various sizes. As an example; http://www.lasertools.co.uk/item.aspx?cat=1108&item=5360 M.
  11. I had an LUK clutch fitted to my standard(ish) Rado and I've been quite impressed with it's smoothness and bite; no sign of judder which I understand can be a problem with many replacement clutches...
  12. One of the members on here makes them; try PMing James153. He has an association with this company who should be able to sort out a loom for you. www.RayneAutomotive.co.uk Not sure about the switch though, as previous post suggested, eBay is probably your best bet....
  13. Maybe it's the tyre god's way of trying to tell you something.....?
  14. Good work, glad to see you're going with a painted finish to the speedlines rather than polished - not convinced that would look good at all!
  15. You need to adjust the bonnet pin springs; from memory, you wind them in to make the bonnet pop up more and out to pop up less. It's a balance between getting the bonnet to pop open properly and having the bonnet sitting nicely when it's shut - you'll probably have to play with it for a while to get it how you want it. BTW, it's the large hexagon shaped seat that the spring sits in that you should be adjusting (I found an adjustable spanner worked best). Mark
  16. Good to meet you today Alex, best of luck getting the VRT back on the road. M
  17. Are you free early(isn) Saturday morning? ...Does the door include everything in the picture? If so, I'll take it. In fairness if I come for the door, I'll take whatever you have left over. Mark
  18. I do wonder if it depends on how well fitted the system is; I have a two box Jetex setup and to be honest it's a bit boringly quiet... Was fitted by a reputable VW specialist and is easily drowned out by the BMC when at full chat, and by wind noise (which isn't that loud) on the motorway...
  19. I had the same problem with my central locking on the drivers side; ended up replacing the pump in the boot which sorted it out. Mark
  20. Amazing how stock it looks with all that jazz going on!
  21. FYI, the two additional hoses that samco now provide are the two small ones that run to/from/near to the oil cooler on the front of the engine. Regards Mark
