Jetex are 2.5" bore too - have a look on their website.... I did hear however that the silencers they use narrow down a bit from that, but when I peered down mine using a torch (how sad!! ) I couldn't see them narrowing  Mark

Depends on rim width though - on a 7.5J rim the 195 40 17 radius is closer to the standard 205 50 15...

Oi, they're my wheels!

...And then you'll spend the next day or so trying to get the last bit of water out of the corners - been there, done that! It's the only way though; kitchen towel and patience helps...

I'm sorry but that spoiler just looks rubbish!! :ignore:

Big shout for Rajarella who I bought some wheel spacers from. Absolutely top bloke and I'd recommend buying from him to anyone. Mark

Nice one Jon - that worked a treat :salute: Mark

Yarp, did dig this one out - Just kind of says remove screw, which is behind the ABS light... And then I ground to a halt. Thanks VR6 - I'll give it a bit more welly... Mark

Evening all, I'm hoping someone here can offer a bit of advice. I'm trying to replace my centre console but I'm struggling to get at the last screw which is behind the ABS light... How the hell do you get the infernal ABS light out of the dash?!?! If I try to prise it from the edge any harder I'm sure it's going to break so thought I'd better take five and ask someone... Anyone got any advice? Thanks Mark

Well, as I said I've not tried to fit mine yet but Eibach do claim it's possible. I will dig out the instructions but I vaguely recall they describe the fitting as per a Mk2 and then there's a one-liner at the end saying that it fits a corrado but you have to move the sensors... I'm not sure they're going to give you a definitive answer to be honest - still best to speak to someone who's already done it and see how they overcame the problems. Have you asked for advice from some the specialist garages; the Phirm, Strictly Dubs...? As a thought, would it be possible to get in there with a right angle chuck on something like a Dremel? Or make a pilot hole somehow and then drill from inside the wheel arch....? I'll be interested myself in anything you can find out  Mark

It's the same strut whether it's for a Mk2 or a corrado according to Eibach... The only difference the instructions allude to is the need to relocate the ABS sensors on the corrado installation. I can't get to the box until the weekend I'm afraid, but will happily dig out the destructions and send you a PDF - PM me if you haven't heard anything by saturday night 'cos it'll mean I've forgotten! I have one of these, but I haven't got round to fitting it yet so can't really offer any advice I'm afraid - I've seen them on some of the guys cars on here though, doesn't blue95 with his 4wd conversion run one...?? It should be possible to fit though as mine is in the original packaging and comes with the fitting instructions and TUV certificate - definitely talks about fitting a Corrado.... Mark

I quite like the two-tone door cards... -
...Didn't know this  - When you say VW wheels, do you mean OEM wheels, as I didn't think VW made their own wheels?? Should you change your bolts if swapping between solitudes and speedlines for example? Or to be be more specific, should I have changed my bolts when I swapped from the Speedies to my BBS RCs??? Thanks for your help Mark

They have a questionable rep for build quality though.... had one on my Mk4 Golf and it more or less fell apart over a couple of years. Didn't feel too bad though as it was on my Ex's car, so hard lines for her!! Mark -
gWerks are always worth a call when it comes to KWs..... Mark

I got a Nilfisk pressure washer from screw fix that came with an attachment that acts as a snow lance. Works very well and for £80 you can't complain too much. Mark
-
How far are you from somewhere like Pipewerx? - I'm sure they could sort you out with something bespoke... Good rep too from what I hear (wrong end of country for me though). Mark

Very tidy - you've got to love those ZW1s!

Now that's a blinking useful post!! - I think we should campaign for Mr Haywire's version of Bentley!! Sorry to hijack but my ABS went squiffy just after Christmas during the (guess what?!) snow and ice.... That'll be a suspect differential lock valve then! Or some crap on one of the sensors.... Job done, now I know what the problem is it hardly seems worth bothering to sort it  Incidentally, does anyone know what cable works with the latest release of Haywire?? - I could do with downloading it for easy reference...!

Mine came with a Halfords battery and the snob in me expected it would be sh#te and would need to be binned, but to be honest I can't fault it. I quite often don't drive mine for up to a month at a time, and it still starts!! Mark

If you go for KWs, it's always worth giving Darren at Gwerks a call to see what he can do on price....
