Just how rusty can a late Corrado be...this rusty!!
MarkFoster replied to Purple Tom's topic in Exterior
Are you absolutely sure it won't polish out though? -
Perhaps a little biased as well, but I'd keep the VR too - the colour is great!
-
I've heard you can use mk4 golf ones that mount under the rear edge of the bonnet so that they're out of sight.

I'm planning on Rotrex charging my VR shortly!

Surely a hefty discount is in order :norty: -
3rd Brake light I believe - think they're compulsory in the US...

SpoonFedTuning 70mm front spoiler and rear wing group buy
MarkFoster replied to dogger's topic in Forum Group-Buys
With regards to your costs on posting, it appears you have worked it out on the basis of getting it delivered to one specific uk address (one box with all the parts in it...). Is there a proposal for how the parts are then distributed around the Uk, or would that be up to whoever gets involved to sort out? Thanks Mark -
 Wouldn't the nitro mors take the paint off as well though?!
-
....from VW? (I had thought they were obsolete.)

Nice to see another car on the forum getting some well deserved TLC  . I hesitate to ask, but how much did the roof strips set you back...? Mark

Passenger headlamp reflector - Desperately needed for MOT!!!

... Check the tube lines guys, there are quite a few closures planned this weekend (as always!). Sorry, not trying to interfere. Mark -
New front and rear spoilers - carbon fibre inside!

I agree with Gareth's comments, does seem a good compromise. You describe a number of finishes to the splitter - are they included in the £125 price you mentioned? Thanks Mark -
Opinions on which short shift kit on VR, if at all?
MarkFoster replied to dkingvr6's topic in Drivetrain
I have a short shift kit from the Phirm which I believe is to their own receipe. It was a bit stiff at first and I would sometimes struggle to be accurate enough in gear selection. I have to say though that it has aged well and gives a solid quick change now... I think a lot of the struggles people have is more a question of getting used to it. Mark -
Not sure if this would pass the MoT here!!
MarkFoster replied to MarkFoster's topic in General Car Chat
I quite liked the bit about barbecuing pedestrians - wonder if it would work on London cyclists...! :ignore: -
 :pale: http://ronpatrickstuff.com/ Not sure this is particularly sensible, strangely amusing though.....

I was going to say I thought that's what we were talking about.

Nice one Steve - you're a star!
-
Sorry Steve, just to confirm that's for a manual VR6...? Is it also based on an exchanged part? Any suggestions on what to do if you wanted to get the part without handing over the part, ie you need to be able to drive the car to the dealers to pick it up lol?! M

A valiant effort V-Dubstar and totally appreciate your point about not wanting to take on distribution of parts for a £7 saving! Guess it's every man for himself now then!
-
When one of you clever chaps has time, could you look up the part number and price for a '94 manual VR6 starter motor please? Thanks in advance Mark
-
That's an impressive amount work for a month's ownership - well done! Mark

Didn't Neal (87 Jetta 16v) offer a set on the previous page for £50...? Mark
-
Like Jonny I'm tempting fate here but, mine sailed through with no advisories either... having said that, I have spent sodding '000s on it over the past couple of years or so so I can't be too cocky. ...that and I know that it's only a matter of time before the starter finally gives up on me permanently...

C&R's ebay shop put them out at £139.95, which is only a fiver more than VT are offering with discount.... Granted that C&R price doesn't include delivery but it looks as if they should definitely be able to siginificantly beat the VT price. Fingers crossed! Mark

VAG950M VR6 (fast road) for me please. Thanks Mark

I'd definitely be interested in a front mount. Mark
