    "shaving" rear hubs?

It's confirmed, etka says that as well, its 20mm difference. Only VR6 is 20mm wider than rest of the Corrado. Had G60 and VR6 in my hands and vr6 was 20mm wider. It's confirmed by my friend as well who plays VW's as far as I can remember and VR6 rear beam is 20mm wider than rest of Corrado.

  7. I was finishing my suspension today and tried to fit rear top mounts cover. I had 2 nuts included with my suspension but need another 2 to fit top mount big washers or locks, whatever it's called. Problem is that M10 nut is to small and M12 is to big. I need M11 which doesn't exist :cuckoo: Tried metal shops and ebay and couldn't find anything. Anybody can help ??

  9. I didn't think will have to post something in this thread but...... jimmyvwjunkie aka Jamie Butler ONCE AGAIN :( Met this guy personally few times. He bought few things from my corrado what I was breaking on parts and everything was spot on since we agreed a deal on Borbet's A. Was asking 400 pounds and he offered me 300 + he's alloys. I agreed. He picked up alloys on Friday and paid me 300 quid. It was about 6 weeks ago. He told me that will deliver his alloys on Monday. Because past transactions was spot on I agreed. Of course he never turned up on Monday and rest of the week so I've contacted him and he said that he moved out of Aberdeen, about 20 miles away and can't deliver them now. OK I said, will pick them up from you, just let me know when can we meet. Never phoned me back, tried to phone him few times but never answered the phone. Week after finally he contacted me and said that he lost his phone, week after that he damage his shoulder and can't drive a car, week after that he was off shore and now 6 weeks after I still didn't get my alloys and can't contact him at all. This guy is from this same town what me. I know where he lived before, know his name and started thinking about reporting him on police but is it any sense ?? I have no proof of anything. It was deal between us and there is no witness. I already have enough all this situation. Tried to contact him on this forum, other forum and over the phone about 25 times during past 6 weeks. Spoke to him 3 or 4 times. He always promised that will deliver tomorrow or will contact me tomorrow and it never happened !!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GUY jimmyvwjunkie YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF !!!!!
  10. still in good nick, will check springs, they will be for sale.
  11. They are not bouncy at all and I've set them up in the hardest mod. Picture of full car will be when I will sort all steering problems.
  12. About month later than planned but had a few problems with my daily and had to sort out suspension in my allroad, it was pain but manage to do everything so time to come to do something in my lovely Corrado :) Replaced my old Koni for brand new KW Variant 2 Coilovers. They stick my car to road perfectly, specially on corners. Still have a small issue with my steering but hopefully will sort it out very soon.

  17. Good guide. You can use a fancy puller or big hammer and a bit of imagination. Please be aware using hammer !! Do not hit the hum as you can leave marks on it !! I've replaced 2 front bearings using hammer and socket keys as a part what i was hitting. You can't hit hub be hammer because you will damage it, you always need something on top of that what you will be hitting. Old socket keys or bit of thick piper are perfect for this job. BTW. I was quoted 150 quid by local garage for one side to replace my front bearings. It took me 3 hours and I saved 300 quid minus cost of bearings.
  18. To be honest question was in name of my mate who is thinking about building golf MK1 but it's a little tiny car so cage will be benefit if something will happen. Personally I was thinking about putting a roll cage in Corrado as well but don't know which one. Car will be used most on the public roads but I'm planing to go over 500PS so roll cage could be useful as well but don't like to drive in helmet and don't like to smash my head on hard metal pipe in accident so don't know what is the best option. Any suggestion ??

    Top mount play?

yep, new top mount's needed, or just tight the bolts up but you need new one anyway
  20. Is it allowed to have a full roll cage in a car on a public road ?? Does it pass MOT with full roll cage in ??
  21. Definitely they don't. Have no idea what they are for. Have nothing there in my previous few Corrado's
  22. Is it 02m manual and same as mk4 gearbox ??
  23. Thanks, just got replay form my friend who did few of this conversions and... All what I have to do i relocate gearbox mount or do new mounting bracket for gearbox and do new clutch pipes as vr6 won't fit. I'm in touch with him so maybe will be some upgrade in my VR6 :) There is only one problem, my friend stays in Poland and I stay in UK but maybe we will manage to do something.
