  1. As my gearbox will die sooner or later I need to replace it. No point to buy another used VR6 box with lot of miles on. No point to spend few hundreds pound on rebuild because I will be running AWD in the future so can complete 1st stage of this conversion right now. Will the MK4 R32 02M gearbox fit straight to vr6 block. Is it a straight bolt on swap without any adapters ?? Is the R32 clutch fit without any modifications. What flywheel do I have to use. I'm thinking about this or similar clutch http://www.034motorsport.com/product_in ... s_id=17082 and single mass flywheel I'm thinking about this drive shafts as an upgrade http://www.driveshaftshop.com/pdetail.php?pid=199
  2. If painting is better for alloys so should be better for suspension so why everybody are powder coating their rear beams, wishbones ... etc. instead of get them painted ??
  3. What did you hit exactly? You are leaving nut on joint to avoid destroying thread on ball joint. Nut must be little above thread, then put something under wishbone to avoid movement when You will use a hammer and hit, simple as that. I had to hit one 7 times before come off.
  4. When was doing my ones, just used bigger hammer and works fine without fancy tools :)
  5. I can try to cut out my one from rado I'm breaking and You can have it for 40 quid picked up from Aberdeen, not fare from You. Let me know if you interested. No stone chips on the windscreen.
  6. I don't like them (only engine is fine, but golfs are crap for me -except mk1 and mk2. No offense, please). BTW already have 2.7T as a daily and is enough :) Corrado will be for fun.
  7. Who said I will be driving FWD having close to 600 bhp ?? Full MK4 R32 or Audi S3 quatro system will be on the car before I will go over 450 bhp.
  8. Twin turbo is fine for 1.8T but no point for vr6 in my opinion, better biturbo. Thinking about this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Garrett-Turbo-GT3 ... 27a9d679c2 but what A/R size is the best and what housing type should I pick up ??
  9. Was looking in the internet but can't find anything interested so maybe some of You can put some light on my problem ?? As some of You know I will be going turbo in my VR6, it will be in some future, maybe even faster than I was planing but what direction is better. BiTurbo or single turbo ?? What I need is a very quick point to point car, so as more torque from lower RPM as better so ?? 1) Single turbo - GT35R or similar - single turbo known as working very well in VR6 2) BiTurbo - 2 x GT28RS - lots of videos on you tube but no information at all :( I need it to be capable up to 600BHP and as far as I know its possible on both above setups.
  10. Just can't wait to fit them, and after that finally can get my wheel tracking and buy a new TAX. Car will back on road in first week of June :)
  11. Hope I won't break any rule posting picture one of my previous Corrado's as now have nothing to show to be honest
  12. What can I say about the wheels ?? I won't say anything, I will show You a picture Set of them is waiting in my room to be fitted in a future. 18x8 front, 18x9 rear. They will be fully chromed or polished with gold screws.

  20. M.O.T Passed today :) Happy day today :)
  21. I know I can drive for M.O.T but I didn't know I can drive to garage to do some work. Well i mean you are driving to get it sorted for mot right? If anything why dont u book it in at a garage that can do the welding too that way you get to drive there without any probs, thats what i did! I could do this but I've done M.O.T few times in this same place and this time I don't have to pay for retest so will be back there. If The welding glue won't help I will book a test somewhere else where they do welding. As far as I know I can only drive on booked MOT test and back home, that's all. I cant drive to garage to get something sorted. That what I was told by DVLA but maybe something is change.
