    When I was looking at getting the car replaced with a boring eurobox, one of the Audi dealers around me kept calling it a Corrola. Based on that, that dealer will never get any of my cash!

    There is a thermal fuse in the motor itself which can cause this. Either take the motor apart and remove it or replace with a new motor. Aging electronic components...

    I constantly fought with the bleeding no matter if it were the standard brakes or the teves 20 stuff with 312's and a mk4 servo and master cylinder. Always difficult to bleed. I think the problem was that the abs pumps trap air easily and are a bit of a pig to properly bleed. My local garage had a vacuum bleeder which seemed to do the job. Getting a nice pedal was always more difficult partly because of the fulcrum point of the brake pedal which is the achilies heel of the entire system.

    On a good one maybe but the vast majority are rusty rattle bags with a load of faults. There are maybe a dozen or so good ones on here that buck the trend and are in beautiful condition and they will rightly increase in time. The rest? Not so much.

    There seems to be a lot of people jumping out of corrados at the moment. Whoever bought yours though Dave has bought a brilliant example.

    Check the resistance on them with a multimeter. Should be 1 to 1.4 ohms from memory.

    Now that I've sold my car on I've got some bits I need to sell, one of them is the new mirrors. Brand new mirrors including bases with rubber gaskets. In primer with new glass and electrics. Basically brand new mirrors with everything you need to fit. They're in primer so just need painting to suit. I can get a picture if you want it. £90 delivered. Available for collection from either LN4 (Lincolnshire) or OX7 (Oxfordshire) for a tenner less.

    Yeah I'd use the copper washers as they are banjo bolts and don't seal naturally well without them.

    Well she went to her new home the other day. Bit sad but life goes on. Fittingly she left how she arrived, on the back of a trailer.
