Sod's law I think, don't mind if it rains this weekend but really would like at least dry next Sunday for Stanford Hall. First show in my new one 8) -
It certainly could have done with a bit more of the car being featured, it was a very major restoration . As with last weeks show where they restored a Ford RS 1600, a serious amount of work involved, I wondered who footed the bill ?!

I have just had the joy of doing all this, I managed to get a cable kit from TPS. The part number was S1H0898014A I also found after fitting the cable kit that another part was broken, a sliding guide part. This was very hard to get hold of but got it in the end. Good luck :) -
Amazing, a thing of beauty. The Mclaren's not bad either !

So I have just about completed the 'to do' list for the car and I can soon start enjoying it for the Summer 8) Work on re-furbishing suspension etc will re-commence later in the year.I have re-furbed rear shocks and replaced the bump stops as they were grotty, new discs & pads front & rear (yes, I know I should have cleaned/painted the rear back plates) ! Will do them with the rear beam. Will tax it from the 1st May and soon after will be the 2.5 hr drive to Stanford Hall, that will be a good test ! Apart from the 1.5 hour drive to bring it home I haven't done more than 20 miles in it, in the 4 months I have owned the car ! thanks for reading 8)
