  1. The aerial is based on the mast from a Honda S2000 but they are too wide where they screw onto the base, this one is the same style but sourced from the USA designed to fit perfectly on VWs ca't recall the name off the top of my head, thanks for the comments.

  2. Well it looks like my little problem of the other day is fixed, fingers crossed, seems like it was the thermostat, replaced the housing which had a small crack close to the seal at the same time. Greatly relieved but annoyed the thermostat stopped me in my tracks and prevented me showing the car at MIVW in Holland. Roll on Mania

  3. After spending a while preparing my car I was really looking forward to this last weekend. I was booked into the Corrado Club stand at GTI International and the ferry was booked for Holland to vist MIVW on Sunday.

I had a good day out on Saturday, Thanks Tempest for organising the CCGB display, and thought the show and venue was a big improvement on the last couple of years but with numbers down and some issues on prices for traders and displays continuing I hope it is not to little too late, GTI International needs the support to survive. Anyway after a good day I set off at about 4 pm to head up for the ferry at Hull.

Unfortunately after being caught in slow moving traffic after a few miles my water temp shot up and the warning light came on. I quickly pulled over and topped up my water after loosing some removing the expansion cap and set off. Withinn minutes the temp was straight back up and I had no choice but to stop. I was accompanied by a friend Dave Freeman and his son in his MK4 Four Motion and we all came to a stop and I called the RAC. The RAC were very prompt but I knew it would need recovering. This was confirmed and after some quick work a recovery vehicle was ordered. I suggested to Dave that he continued without me taking my passenger as it was almost certain we'd miss the ferry. Dave wouldn't hear of it despite it almost certainly meaning loosing out on the trip. The RAC bent over backwards to help and having phoned the ferry company to tell them of our dilemma we had a deadline for embarkation of 7.30pm to work towards. Having made the big dicision for me to send my car home unescorted at 6.15pm we set off with 120 miles to cover. No chance  . Well maybe..MIVW was great, pity my car didn't make it but good friends are priceless.

  5. And the side strips need coding too

No this car is strictly less is more OEM+. I agree the sidestrips would look equally good in silver but then we're on a long and expensive slippery slope involving all shorts of shennanigins. Much wider dishes, arch work, dark red leather interiors, more power, no money.

No my formula is simple, work on subtle tweeks of a great original package keep it Classic Corrado.

  6. BTW OSV,how do you find it handles with the 1" dish on the rears - any noticable difference to 7.5's all round ?

It's imposible to say as I've just had my rear axle bushes replaced so the handling is now far better :afro: , however as the tyres are identical I think there would be no real difference due to the extra half inch on the dish.
