very true Mic it is impossible to get your knee down in a C lol i must say it is great though when the bikers are stood on the bridge watching their m8s & then i see them all whip their heads round to look at WTF is making all that noise coming round the bend, BMC at full chat & bridgestones doing their best not to loose traction all within the 70mph speed limit on the slip roads though ;) Ha ha you took the thought out of my mind about the VRT's m8 but i want your brakes 1st!!!
-
Mmmm yummy brembo's! brake upgrade is on my list for the VR but i will need new wheels also to do so ha ha thats the result of a drive in a VRT i would hope for ;)
-
ha ha that last bit nearly made me spit my tea out lol definitely the rozzer experience you had m8 - i know how sneaky they can be trying to make you boot it if they think your fast. glad to hear no more incidents though, hope it stays that way thats some power to spin up all gears....... ****dreams - one day maybe lol**** you would love the clover leaf section we have near where i live m8 - a lovely little playground of 2 dual carriageways crossover giving 4 270 degree slip roads (2 downhill & 2 uphill) & 4 S bend slip roads (again 2 up & 2 down) bikers come from miles around to get their knee down round them but i love showing them how to really take a bend quick ;) lol

g0ldf1ng3r replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
on the weekend i fixed the bonnet catch on the valver so as it now stay shut gave it its first wash since i brought it back as few months ago & the black centre'd BBS splits look lovely against the alpine white paint :) just waiting for it to be MOT time & looking forward to driving it again -
ha ha speak of the devil ;) alright m80 :)

Mmmm very nice m8. Are you having an LSD of some form fitted too? Edit - oh & hows your brake setup? ;) lol I saw lots of n3p's install as it happened due to my VR having its head rebuild at the same time. It was very neat & we all know how the results turned out. I just wish id been there when he picked it up so i could have a passenger ride lol

Thanks Anna I think it would most likely depend on what the expected cost would be - do you have any indication at this time?

Thanks Jim & Billcor I had to email the guy at longlife to work out a quote for a new system for my VR so i took the opportunity to question the statement on their site i will post the reply once received

description taken from longlife exhaust website 'DE-CATS - On some cars, including many diesels may be possible to remove the catalyst without causing any problems at the MOT. Call us for details to see if your car can be legally de-catted for more power' that kind of implies that as long as your motor passes the emissions test without the CAT installed (IE at the same levels as if it was installed) then you still pass your MOT anyone any idea?

Can a bad VR6 blue temp sensor make the car feel flat?
g0ldf1ng3r replied to Jim's topic in Engine Bay
LOL or just sensitive to it Jim ;) -
glad your ok but ouch that hurts to see your lovely motor like that - idiot drivers with total lack of attention seem to be all over the place nowadays, its like they completely forget they should drive according to the highway code once they have passed their test good luck with the claim & repairs
