  1. no problem, hope you get it sorted. the panel/cover is a hard one to describe. with mine the 'wall' section on the side closest to the passenger wing had tucked up & under itself. this in turn caused a crease in which the water flowed & then dropped directly into the hole on the foliage seal below. if fitted correctly the panel/cover should almost be like a box over the top of the foliage filter, if that makes sense. IE when you stand & look at the passenger side of the panel/cover you should not be able to see the majority of the foliage filter underneath personally, even though a new foliage filer seal had been fitted by stealth, i put a little clear silicone sealant around the base of the foliage filter as an extra precaution
  2. here you go m8 https://www.vwheritage.com/shop/191819166/gasket-heater-blower-intake-golf-mk2-corrado/ Heritage saying they will be back in stock in 3 weeks - prolly best to contact them, either on here through AnnaVR6 (as she works for them) or directly there is also a guide on the wiki which you may find helpful http://wiki.the-corrado.net/changing_heater_scuttle_foliage_cover_seal.html personally, my issue was with the thin plastic cover which goes over the foliage filer being incorrectly refitted.
  3. woo hoo - chrome behaving again today logged on for a few hours now & havent been logged out once!!
  4. tough one that mike as unless it is documented in the cars history, or unless there is a thread on here or somewhere about it, then confirming upgrades is going to have to be visual. obviously only the pulley, in this instance, could be visually checked as you would need to remove the rocker cover to check the cams & even then hope they were stamped with manf info. i wonder if the superchip would be branded & visible if you could remove the ECU housing to see it
  5. i am similar mic - though i have & love my blackberry there is something about the white valver that i cant quite pin point the blackberry has a delightful ability to change colour tone depending on the light at the time; fully polished & in direct sun it truly sparkles loveliness, however at dusk it gives a darker angrier tone. but it doesnt carry off the slightly dirty look as does the white valver - which for some reason looks mean with a spatter of dirt on the solid white background lol maybe it is the additional lines that the Kamei skirt kit provides - i know i have always loved the Kamei front splitter & should really try & get the replacement i have fitted up as it subtly changes the front end look fantastically trouble is i have a desire to try to fit the full spare Kamei kit to the blackberry when it has a respray
  6. thought i would put an update here as since my last post i have changed absolutely nothing at all but now my sessions are not being logged out every few minutes it makes a nice change to be able to type a post & then not have to bloody logging back in odd though lol
  7. unfortunately i believe all insurers apply 'admin' costs to any policy changes mid-term as do lots of other companies & as we all know an 'admin' charge is usually just a way of them making a bit extra
  8. no offence intended here m8 but who told you that? it may depend on insurer or underwriter i have been with flux for over 20 years. my VR is on a classic policy with them & i gain NCB each year. i also insure the valver on a classic policy with HIC - this was a 2nd car policy, limited miles, & i have accrued NCB for each of the years. as such i now have a 2nd policy with 2 years NCB
  9. do it!! but as chuggs said - get a good one lol
  10. i love them that much i brought a VR after pining for one for years having sold the valver & then brought the valver back as well a few years later lol
  11. get yourself one of those cheap hand held laser temperature devices - they work a treat Vince at stealth did a test on my VR when it was there where he laser registered the temp of an oil temp sensor so as to compare again the MFA reading. it consistently showed 6 degrees BELOW the temperature reported by the MFA on the dash. FYI this was with a brand new oil temp sensor fitted
  12. sounds like it could have been out Jim - judging by the way paul said there were people knocking him mom's door asking if for sale nice to see it is still looking good

  17. until you can come up with a permanent fix you could try getting one of these to help with reducing morning time condensation http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rechargeable-Moisture-Absorbing-Cordless-Portable-Dehumidifier-Wardrobe-Home-/281246134335?hash=item417b93703f:g:JaUAAOxy4dNS1uB6 they are rechargeable i leave one in which ever rado im not using at the time & switch it between the 2 it has also helped get the moisture out of the carpet & underlay from a leak
  18. blimey! hope you have a stock of spare parts aboard....if they still exist that is lol
  19. ha ha ha you gotta love these companies that 'invest' eh sean!
  20. cracking pic for detail that is Cressa
  21. it sounds like one of the bowden cables, which facilitate the movement of the flaps inside the air box, is not sliding correctly did you remove the air box in which the matrix sits to fit it or leave it in situ? if you took it out it is worth going through those steps again maybe as for the fan only working on max setting, there is a very cheap fix on the wiki here. http://wiki.the-corrado.net/fan_speed_thermal_fuse_repair.html there you go fella regarding the fuse board - defiitely been refitted in a bodge fashion. it should secure up nicely up & back from its current location. i wonder if the board had been replaced or something as ive not come across one in this state before. you might be able to wriggle it out a little & see where it should fasten to
  22. at this rate it could be getting ejected out the window anyway bl00dy chrome doing the same thing. im sure it doesnt do it when i am using chrome on my home pc but i shut it down so cant teamviewer to it for a quick test
  23. worth making sure the ones from Heritage are rado specific. i say that as i seem to recall somewhere saying a version of a golf one is compatible but i dont think they are how bad is your current one? there was a thread on here about a cheap bike cable lubrication tool which relubes the internals. could be worth a shot
