1. They do that at Tesco all the time if you have a club card. Tis good to keep your eyes open for it for sure
2. I'm afraid I'd have to agree with some of the sentiment here... Loads of people are selling at the moment and every one is struggling to get their cars sold. It's a buyers market but no one is wonting to buy just now. However, at the end of the day the "Worth" of anything is what the buyer is willing to spend. I've seen cars I wouldn't give you tuppence for going for silly money in the past. My C when i bought her probably wasn't worth £1800 but it's what I could afford and also what I saw to be a fair price at the time. Also, your cars worth to you will always be higher than what someone who a) doesn't/hasn't owned a C before and feels less affinity to it or b) Is buying it with little knowledge of the brand and model Personally, if I had 4k id spend it on your car... but some garage or tom, dick or harry in the street may well not consider your car worth that, despite the emasculate paint job. If i where you I'd try to wait for the car market to improve.
3. I found out that the chaps i'm going to get to galvanize the parts actually do grit blasting.... I'm an idiot!
4. I know! how did he get a blumin steering lock wedged into the engine bay! It's mental!
5. Indeed, He looked like he had loads of time to correct the mistake... I think he kept his boot in on the grass as well (1:25seconds you can see allot of soil being kicked up) I have no sympathy for him.... looks like he was a disaster waiting to happen ---------- Post added at 04:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:08 PM ---------- btw... http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?5190798-Drove-off-a-cliff-in-Malibu-on-Saturday!!!
6. I've been wanting to do this for ages. Would be interested to see what people say. I didn't realize you could buy kits tbh, I was going to fabricate one from a bonnet gas strut...
7. Just to let you all know how I got on. Saturday just gone i got a shot of the compressor. Gritting went well but as many mentioned, It would have taken me an age to do the panel I had. The grit media was quite soft and the gun didn't have a large area of effect. Collecting the grit wasn't a problem in the end, Just stuck the bit I was blasting in a clear plastic bag :thumbleft: The compressor was good enough to get it going though and for things like calipers or something small I'd say it was a good buy for £15 However, this panel is going to need more than just a little light tickle of grit.

12. Ok Chaps, now the interior is clean I'm just fanny-assin about, fixing bits and bobs while I wait for some money to trickle in. Been trying to fix my passenger door card the door handle slot looks like it got wet at some point. I'm going to have a go with some fibre glass this evening. I also need some of the flat screws used in the door car if any one knows the part numbers? The fabric has been cleaned though so otherwise she's ready to get attached to the car. I also found the reason for the door getting wet.... Looks like a colander... the black stuff I think is something like tiger seal. Kind of a crap job. If anyone knows if these can be bought new as well please let me know. :thumbleft:

18. WOW... you'd think seeing as your NEXT TO the oil refinaries it would be cheaper! It's about 1.30 down here bud! Basically duty will go down by 1p INSTEAD of going up by 5p over 2 years....
19. LOl Fair enough, so long as I'm not wrong in wonting to use Copper! Keep the pictures coming! :thumbleft: I think because steel is cheaper than copper... and when your mass producing lines the price it on linear meters of pipe.
